Companions Pets that can defend you.

Does anyone know if there will be any Pets / Companions? It would be pretty cool if you could have a dog, wolf, tiger, or maybe even an eagle by your side while venturing.

Sorcerer has a skill line with combat pets. No other classes can do this.

Nope, I have tried begging on my knees but they will not add pets that fight. Sorc pets will figh but that is just mocking. They can easily be ignored and are a waste of skillpoints. Nowadays the only pets who really do damage are Pokemontm

Keep in mind pets don`t always grab aggro... they are kind of shifty because they react slow and you can`t control them to send them in before you attack... there are no controls for them.

They also don`t do that much damage from what i tested(except the ultimate but he is only temporary).

But they are cool when they work aka when they manage to keep them from hitting you and one of them can knock mobs down while the other one heals you when you have low hp or provides a 10% magicka regen aura.

EDIT: They are only viableish(they literally do no damage) in solo PvE, in dungeons they will die fast since you can`t control them in any way to remove them from AOE and in PvP they don`t sneak with you = everyone will see them + they can be ignored or killed so fast they are just not worth it...

The problem is that any player will ignore the pet and go for the owner in PvP. This is true even for the sorc ultimate summon who can tank dugeon bosses.

Yes, I tend to loose the clanfear pretty fast in PvP, this might be as it charges the target the sorcerer targets and get into the enemy formation.

This was in zergs where everybody with ranged do pray and spray.

In small group combat it get ignored, in both settings they are useless.
