Companions Steal Exp?

They should make it so you get full experience from companion kills, BUT you have to heal them (including crippled limbs), repair their gear, supply ammo, and for hardcoe mode give them food and drink every so often.

It has been mentioned before that we want people to use their companions without penalty. They do not steal your xp when they kill. Consider them your mutant third-arm (you even get the kill cam shots if they finish off the last enemy in an encounter).

Is there anything you guys DIDN'T think of?

It seems like Obsidian has gazed into the hearts and minds of every Fallout 3 fan and fixed all the small hangups about the gameplay, then took the story/setting/atmosphere in a direction (I hope) old school Fallout fans can appreciate more.YAY

I hated companions in Oblivion and Fallout3, I really don't see that changing in NV. I like stealth based play, hit and run and subterfuge/sabotage. My play-style and companions mix like oil and water.

I realize I am in the minority on this, as companions and companion mods are a huge deal. To each their own. :)

I'd say try Boone as your companion, he's an ex NCR Ranger who specialized in recon, so he's likely to be stealthy. Tell him to be passive and he'll only shoot when shot at, which (if you're stealthy) should be rarely.

Also hoping if you hack turrets and if they kill something you get like half the kill EXP, same with other stuff that can kill things...
