Companions

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:05 pm

So, both Morrowind and Oblivion had super popular "companion" mods. Do you want them to be available in Skyrim? Maybe, assuming the engine is better, more than one at a time?
I think up to two optional companions would be awesome! Of course, they could fight with each other and so you'd only be able to have one if your speech/charisma wasn't up to snuff. Or something like that.

I wan't something akin to Dragon Age: Origins. The ability to converse with your companion and complete quests and build up to a romance/friendship.

I liked the Fallout 3 style companions. They should do that.

I don't like companions.
I always go solo.

Do I want 'friend' companions like Fallout 3? No. I liked the nameless expendable bodyguards that were in Oblivion. They weren't your friends they were your minions. Be they a mercenary knight from your castle, a summoned atronach or a Mage Apprentice. The only ones who had any semblance of an identity were the Knights of the Nine.

That would be aweseome, but I can never see a game that's both Boiware-y an Bethesda-y working out.

I'm down with that, and I can see them being in Skyrim too because they're in F3 and NV so. I'd like to have some more animals as companions though.

I would love to see companions in ESV. Morrowinds mercs for hire, and Oblivions lackeys you got for becoming the head of a guild were okay, but I would like to see them a bit more fleshed out. Something Like Obsidian did with New Vegas. I do however want them to be completely optional. Elder Scrolls is about the player. Not some adventurer party. We got D&D and Dragon Age for that
