I'm having trouble with companions specifically they wont join me except dog meat. They keep on saying that my other companion wont like them????? I don't have any other companions I tried send dogmeat back to vault 101 but that still doesn't work. I have his puppie so that could be part of it?

It has to do with your karma level.
You can get the dog and Charon with any karma.

Evil Karma gives you Jericho and Clover
Good gives you Star Paladin Cross and Fawkes
Neutral gives you RL-3 and Butch.

You can change your karma after you pick up a follower, I think Fawkes and Cross will leave you if they don't like your actions.

Puppies perk can glitch sometimes causing you to only ever be able to have Dogmeat as your companion. If you have the correct karma for a follower and they won't join you, this may be what's happening to you.

I have very good karma and fawkes wont join me... So is there a way to fix the glitch? I got the puppies perk so I think that's what happened. BTW I'm on PS3 so no using cheats/mods/~

Unfortunately the only way of resolving that glitch on PS3 is to reload a save prior to taking the perk and not take it. If you don't have to go back very far, it might be worth reloading but if that was several hours ago I personally doubt I would do it.

shoot.... I took it at level 22 and I am level 30 now... guess I'll have to live with the dog. Guess I'll try and get fawkes' super sledge. :l I miss Fawkes he was so awesome.
