Even if there are companions, I doubt I would use them. Didn't do it in FO3, didn't do it in New Vegas. Companions and TES games just don't fit with one another and the great freedom would just make them feel shallow (they can't possibly know what I want to do like in Bioware games where your character is always given a goal and it can be easier to guess what you do).

I think it would be better if resources are used on improving Quest Givers. Rather then have them give you a quest, some of them could give you multiple quests and through them have their own storsy told and affected. It would better fit and also be more innovative.

Id rather there be several different levels of companions available.

Simple random generated mercs and beggars and homeless and thieves and such you can hire simply with promise of loot... Other more detailed companions with backstories.. a few realy detailed companions.. demi heroes in thier own right.

Because sometimes you dont want to babysit an important person who is following you.. sometimes you want minions or expendables.. or people to feed the wolves on your way to whatever... You sometimes need a moron.

and romance options ?!!

Bethesda =/= Bioware.

Waifu simulator is that way... *points to Mass Effect*.

After all, how would it work on a first-person game? Jeez, I can't even imagine my character kissing / having six with an NPC while watching it in first-person.

Leave companions out! I prefer TES to be 100% solo.

I enjoyed companions in NV, granted they didn't let me fight, but it was good to have company every now and then, and it be good to see optional companions in Skyrim.

As for romances, I like BioWare games and everything, and they can be nice, but doesn't sound like it fit in a Bethesda game.
