Yes I suppose you are right.

I am still getting this laptop and then when the time comes I will buy a PC. The only big pet peeve I have is whenever I go to buy a pc from either HP or Dell, they rip me off.

I ordered an HP Inspiron desktop from HP and then when I called them on my order they said that I had cancelled it, and then they tried to bump the price up on me from 700$ to 900$ so I just just leave it canceled.

the same thing that happened there happened with dell, I went into buy an alienware m11x from them for about 1000$ and then when the time came for my order they said that I had cancelled it and tried to bump the price up another 100$. so I then said again just leave it canceled.

I (and almost any other member here on the forum) would suggest staying away from pre-built desktops. Its always best to build it yourself. Cheaper, and better quality components. Going through http://www.newegg.com/ is usually a better deal then buying through HP/Dell. Again, Alienware is an extreme ripoff for what you get.

MMkay so I got the laptop.

I put in Oblivion and it ran fine, more fine than you guys were giving it credit for, and yes its on low settings but im still happy with the 15-25 FPS range I am getting, and yes it does lag a tiny bit but its very unoticable and is just about as much if not less lag as I got on the 360 version of it.

I'm glad you got it working to your liking, but the people on this forum are giving you valid information, although some members can be rude. Your current laptop may be able to run Oblivion to a degree, but has no futureproofing (in gaming anyway). If you prefer laptops... gaming grade laptops starts at about 750USD minimum and you'll get a better selection at 1000. Desktops are far cheaper. You shouldn't have to move your computer much so weight and bulkiness shouldn't factor into your decisions.

If you abhor bulky desktops so much you can try building a small form factor PC, for example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856101117 . You start with that chassis and add the major components. The only thing hampering the mobility of it would be the monitor.

I'm just curious if you got out of the sewers yet? That's when the real hardware stress takes place. And pretty much everyone in this thread of yours did give you the right expectations ...it's just that you are willing to tolerate the low performance that most people wouldn't.
