What I can say from the perspective of a long-time gamer is this:

C2 out-performing C1 gameplay-content-wise?
Not true at all. Look, in C1 you could actually grab enemies and use them as shields. Point made.

Control variations
Same applies, plus in C2 no prone. Very console-like.

HUD

C2 having a better HUD than C1? Are we playing the same game? THe HUD in C2 is overloaded like hell and a lot worse than in C1.

One BIG example: the tactical options. This stuff is for people who are not used to using their brains when the play games. I prefer, along with others , TO ACTUALLY EXPLORE A MAP. A HUD that tells me where I can use a sniper rifle? No, no, no and no. This stuff is destroying the game.

Weaponry

This is where you gotta be really kidding us.
1. Where, please, is the bigger selection of weaponry in Crysis 2? Include a list, because all I see is one or two nice extra weapons and about ten variations of the SCAR.
2. WHICH YOU CANNOT ACTUALLY MOD.
In C1, you could actually modify your gun. In C2, for some reason unkown to me, you cannot use the silencer with the assault scar. Or the Sniper scope with the scar. Or the Assault scope with the "sniper scar" (whatever that means, since it's just a scar with a silencer). The list goes on.
Saying C2 has somehow better weaponry than C1 is just wrong.

Voice acting

I totally agree with you. Plus, what's that with everyone calling you Prophet?.

OK, here comes my final point.

QUICK SAVE

Why do you not include this in your comparison?
I mean, C2 having no quicksave destroys exploring, finding out new ways to do a level, just about everthing that's good in a pc game. Man, I actually started to like C2. But now that I stumbled upon this post, I remember I am disappointed after all. I mean, leaving out quicksave is just horrible. Bravo for absolutely forgetting everything about making a pc game Crytek. Well, a patch will come eventually I guess.
