Comparisons between the N1 and N2

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:23 am

Heres a list of comparisons on the Nanosuit 2 and the first, and don't try and bullshot me, i'm part of the C1 community
N2
1. Interlace modules, but rapid energy consumption. Just called power mode.
2. Armor mode deflects bullets, but glows in an "look, I'ma walking target" blue.
3. Stealth this time is silent, a true predator, but much shorter. Your distorted pavement and gravel.
4. Looks beefy, more intimidating. Like the Governator, before his death threat was "i will charge you taxes!"
5. Upgradeable modules allow for a number of variables, doubling some modules lasting time.
6. This time the suit was worth a billion dollars
7. The suit is sentian. and can save peoples memory onto its very big SD card, and can siphon your feces without you knowing.
N1
1. Speed mode, need i say more? You were yellow
2. Stealth was longer, but made the most hideous buzz. You were an outline in the background.
3. Had a huge hump on the back.
4. Fists
5. You get alien cancer.
6. Strength had actually a noticeable jump, and punching didn't drain your power to zero. You were red
7. Koreans made cheap suits available in the 99 cent store by 2025
8. This suits, just a suit. Its has to come off if you want to..... and you look like a shaved bipedal gorrila. Its still awesome though
9. Other than that the nanosuit 2 can do pretty much everything else.

You missed off quite a lot. Also if Fists are an N1 feature then Ledge Grabbing, Sliding, Stealth kills are N2 features.

Ya, I looked at those features, but is the nanosuit 2 doing those things?

That's the point he's making, if N1 is responsible for being able to use fists (it's not), then the N2 is responsible for being able to stealth kill. Your post attributes some gameplay features as suit features, which isn't the case.

However, sliding IS a suit feature of the N2, it uses energy and presumably requires some transformation of the suit surface to occur.

.............good point, i guess the N2 turns its back into teflon, suggesting how much he slides, and i guess i should knock off fist from the N1.....

Well there is nothing really to deny. Though can you elaborate a bit on the "alien cancer" thing. I kind of missed that in the game plot.

Nomad and psycho are presumed "dead" because they received alien cancer in the same way prophet does.

^Or it could just be a massive reboot, but then why is prophet still in Crysis 2, why didn't Crytek mention anything, at least say there dead and we'll be relieved........:S.........to know that you didn't just scrap your first script?

Lol.

Like many said, advantages, disadvantages. The N2 can make you combine your Powers, Armor IS Armor now, not just a bit of additional Health, wich is absolutely useless, Power Slide, Smooth movement, Air Stomp, Oh, and btw, Stealth is way shorter in N1. The N1 has a better controll over single modes, but that's all. Oh and it's a bit faster when running, that's why you die from RUNNING IN A CAR!

Fanboy. You're just a Crysis 1 fanboy.

Not sure if you read my comparisons correctly, but the benefits out weight the N1's, i mean common, the N2 is a billion dollars, while the Koreans find N1 in supermarkets?

i personally miss the REAL Speed mode of N1
with N2 they ran as fast that you could think its not the energy of the suit but just your stamina that drains.

Ya but it was overpowered.......i'm shooting at some one only for them to launch into the past going 88mph.........lol, but no really, i think the speed modes useful only when you want to get around the map faster, which i think Crytek compensated by adding ledge crab.

Nanosuit one all the way. Especially Psycho's modded one which has the soothing British female voice.

I hate how a massive hexagonal spider-web floods my screen when I turn on Armor in N2. Why, Crytek, WHYYY? Was it really necessary to reduce my 25' monitor to 15' field of view just because I want some extra armor?

Also, I HAAATE how sprinting requires energy now. What kind of FPS makes it so that you can't sprint to cover when you're almost dead? Lame.

Other than that, N2 does a nice job dumbing down N1 for use with controllers.

The webs are suppose to encourage you to get the F*** out of armor mode unless necessary, and do you mean the FPS's that replace energy with shortness of breath while sprinting? The only game today to eliminate breath is BC2, and thats because there maps are huge! even with sprinting it take 10 min to get from one side to another.

Most games limit how long you can sprint for, but no game to my knowledge ties sprint to your other abilities. For example if I'm fighting a Pinger and I just took a beating in Armor mode, energy is now at 0, I can't even f'kin run away. I just have to casually stroll to cover. That's what svcks.

And btw, I highly doubt the webs are designed to encourage me to not be in armor mode unless I absolutely need to be. Why would I need to be encouraged -not- to use a feature of the Nanosuit? That makes no sense. They're there because the devs thought it looked cool, but it's really just annoying.

If you listen close, you can hear the low growl when you go into stealth mode, like the predator-does.

Also, it would be nice to get an N1 mod for Crysis 2. See if playing the game is possible with the N1 suit.

Arma, Americas army, battlefield2 battelfield 2142, they all have a detremantal effect after sprinting

bllarglgleelglge!! the point is not a detrimental effect AFTER sprinting. the point is that you aren't allowed to even START sprinting if you've used up your "suit energy" on armor or stealth. how many games don't allow you to sprint if you've just fired off a completely different, unrelated special ability?

..But they are related, they all require energy.

The N2 isn't 'dumbed down' it's streamlined. It maintains all the functions N1 had, while improving on the armour and cloak, and making strength and speed into one athleticism-based power mode. Also, the ability to combine modes alone makes N2 smash N1 easily.
