I think you're mixing the standing stone buffs with temple shrine buffs /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
The former are permanent while the latter lasts 7-8 hours.

I'm actually not, although it may only apply to the Guardian Stones (which are considered standing stones); I know from using them that they have a 7-hour duration, which is what I based that statement on.

A Yes or No question for anyone that updates this thread (I'm not reading Dragonborn spoilers in it). - If my level 81 Vampire respecs all perks, and takes Necromage asap, will the Vampire/Necromage benefit then be added to all subsequent perks that are affected by it (Muffle/Magic Resistance/Atronach, etc)? I'm asking because my Vampire had most of her perks before taking Necromage, so didn't benefit from the added effect.

There's some good stuff in these threads but once you overpower yourself with the basic Resto-Loop formula there isn't much else you need to bend over backwards for.
I'm just saying, for those of you who are stunned over this & that with weapon damage, spell costs and % boosts. Most of the ridiculously high % boosts won't help you anyways, it's a hit or miss experiment. My custom Carry Weight ring is worth negative 2 billion gold, whatever that's supposed to mean. A Smithing boost that's too high won't allow you to smith jack. Killing is the same whether it's 500% or 50,000%. I'm not being negative here, I'm just saying that whatever you're looking for could already exist, without thinking too hard about it.

As many did before you, you missed the point of the topic - to see what was possible to achieve without blatant exploits, and to work out the non-obvoius mechanics.

I would love to see this thread updated with the Dragonborn DLC. I got the alchemy/smithing gear to 41% enchanting potion to 53% and smithing potion to 214% before Vampire adds the extra 25%. No fortify restoration potion !!

Did you go back and switch out your Sallow Regent buff for each pass? I made a seperate save to test out how high it would go, and I'm glad I did because Smithing became ridiculously high. I think I will just improve my artifacts on this setting and not touch any 'ordinary' weapons and gear. Even though the Magic buff says it reduces costs of Spells, I can also confirm when you take this one it will improve enchantments just on its own.

Late on seeing this.. topic gets buried so often. You probably got your answer anyway.

That respec option is bugged for a lot of the perks.

Not sure I understand what you mean by switch out the Sallow Regent buff for each pass?

Every time you make a Fortify Enchanting or Smithing potion you have the Stealth buff active then switch it to the Magic buff before enchanting, and keep doing this until it reaches its max. You have to travel to Apocrypha and switch out the buff every time which is a bit unimmersive to say the least. /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> Doing this I got the Fortify Enchanting potion to hit 61% iirc, and the Fortify Alchemy/Smithing enchant on gear was 43% (going from memory). That then gets upped when you drink/equip it as a Necro Vampire. I haven't used it to improve weapons or gear, but if you wanted to hit max I'd assume you'd also have to go back to Apocrypha for the Warrior buff before Smithing.

Time to bring this important thread up so new arrivals can benefit from it. The first several posts are invaluable for build info.
