Thank goodness, was starting to worry there. Now all I have to worry about is if they end up using the s***y voucher system instead of the superior disc system for the dlc.

If this is true then why did Devs constantly pitch that there wasn't going to be a so called GotY edition. Was it a marketing ploy to get more people to buy the DLC? I will just end up trading in my old edition for this anyways just to have a hard copy of the DLCs.

It just seems silly to me at times what companies due when there worried about the bottom line. Would have been easier just to say "were not sure" or "yes", I think.

Here is another link: http://kotaku.com/5856007/fallout-new-vegas-ultimate-edition-hitting-in-february-2012-includes-all-four-dlc-packs

I'm kind of disapointed in the moderator who said this wasn't going to happen. They simply had to know it isn't like marketing one day went: Hey lets release a complete edition of the game to make more money. Owe yeah that is an awesome idea.

No this had to be planned months in advance to coincide probably with the dip in dlc sales or for a set period. Majorly uncool to lie to us about this.

Developer's lie all the time, so it doesn't surprise me. However his royal highness King Bergman said there would be no GOTY type edition with all the DLC's and everything, so I kind of figured there really would be no bundled game+DLC. I'm not going to buy it but my only question is, why February 2012? Why not try to squeeze it in with the holiday season?

I have the game and all of the DLCs for the PS3. I may wind up buying the "Ultimate Edition" for the PC though so I can finally use the GECK and DL some cool mods! :)

Why not try to squeeze it in with the holiday season?

Because a whole 5 people would buy it. A lot of them shift over to Skyrim, and this holiday season is already a big one with MW3, BF3, Skyrim, Gear's of War and others like Halo, Legend of Zelda, and Batman.

Anyways I'm not going to buy it, and if I wanted my DLC's on a disc I would just do it myself instead of paying, probally $40, for it. I really think it is funny how some people just buy it so they can just have it... :)

Also NCR remains on the cover.

Already bought all the DLC. So paying full price $60 for it, not worth it for me at all. Snce I already have everything installed on the HD anyways, what use can it be for me anyways?

But it's good to have it all in one bundle now. Guess if you are buying it, you are getting the DLC for free now eh?

It probably wont go for $60, more likely $30-40 like the amazon.uk leak from last year stated.

Finally! I never buy online DLC's. Definitely gonna buy it! But I have to ask: How does it work when you already own a copy of vanilla NV (on PC)? Do you have to uninstall it? How does Steam react when you activate a game you already own? I'm confused.

Well assuming it is like or similar to Fallout 3's. It probally comes with the vanilla game, and a seond disc that has DLC on it, not one super disc. That would just be asking for trouble.

The only way I might get it, is if they add some new hidden things, which I doubt. It is three months away so why not.

I still replay my F3 saves and other games I own like Arkham Asylum I bought long after their release so getting all the DLC's in one package was nice. My main reason for getting another copy of a game I already own with all the DLC's packaged together is simply for convenience. I have had numerous times where something on my Xbox or PS3 goes wonky and re-installs are needed. Even with a high speed connection re-dl'ing all the patches and DLC's is a hassle. Sometimes I am at places without internet so having it on a disc that requires no connection is important to me.

My last issue is as much as I love NV no one here can honestly say they have had no issues and even if the devs say they are not releasing any more patches, I imagine some optimization will go into the "Ultimate" edition (why the lack of trust on my part, I don't know). If not, the above stated reasons are enough. Even if my saves won't work with the hard copied version I still got ideas for one more solid playthrough with all the stuff I have learned to make another demi-god type build for a hardcoe run through or a DID try.

Not surprised at all by this. ANY game these days that feature a huge amount of DLCs will eventually have some kind of 'All in one' edition, no matter what they call it.

I won't be buying it. I already own all the DLC so I don't need it. If I want to put the DLC on disk I can just do that. Hell, I'm going to have to do that anyway, 0 hour is approaching on my new computer build.

Many peoples reported, several times, this "fact" that Mr. Bergman himself had said that there were no plans for a GOTY (or equivalent) release,
but he (or anyone else in the team) actually said something slightly different, http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1203879-will-the-dlcs-be-available-on-dvd/page__view__findpost__p__17954580.

And yes, I'm happy about this bundle coming out next February.
All is well when it ends well :D
Cheers!

I'm just immensely happy we're getting the Ult. Edition. but still a good idea is a good idea dude. Would entice those who already have the DLC to purchase it if there was new stuff in it. But your right tho it is doubtful.

Makes me a little sad it's considered the "Ultimate Edition". I thought GRA might have been one of a few "booster pack" DLC.

Saying that, if they release the "Ultimate edition" with extra content, it's only fair that they also release that content as a patch or extra DLC for regular players.

Think about it: Otherwise they're rewarding new players that are buying the whole thing for cheaper than those of us that were loyal enough to buy each and every DLC that came out at full price!

I've been waiting for this announcment. Presumably the discs should contain all DLC and be patched to the latest version, there should be nothing more to download ever. So the important question, in my mind, is: Will the Fallout New Vegas Complete Edition still require Steam?
