Completed "Still in the dark" - Now what?

SPOILER

After completing the "Still in the dark" quest Head Paladin Hardin told me to come back in a few days so that he could prepare...
It's been almost a month in game time and I've done a lot of quests in the meanwhile but still he's not "ready".

Is this a bug or is there anything I am supposed to do?

Yeah thats why I am so interested in figuring this out.
They cant expect us to play through the game with only leather armor and pre-war hats?

theres other good armor, like the reinforced metal, combat and combat mark 2, van graff etc..

you could always use the console command to learn power armor if you want

Thanks. Whats the command? I think I'll cheat this one time because the game already cheated me.
