So I decide to restart the game, and it AGAIN asks me for a CD key, which I enter yet AGAIN (for the 5th time but who's keeping count?). He sends the invite, and this time it works. Great, now it's time to finally play the game right?!?
So he searches for a game. We can't find our desired game mode because all of the servers are seemingly either full or completely empty, so we decide to play anything. He finds a game, "can't connect to host". So we try again, this time we get into a lobby, so we're excited, we're finally going to try out the retail MP after enjoying the demo. Thing is the game is stuck on the lobby. After trading snide remarks with others crying "not this again", "wow, this game is maximum fail" on the chat we decide to try again, thinking nothing of it. Same thing. Game is stuck in the lobby, "retrieving session data" or something like that.
So we decide to just search for a quick match, because that server browser ain't working out. We search for any game, "no games found". We try yet again, get into a lobby, and it's stuck yet again. The cycle repeats itself for over an hour until we decide to call it quits, but THEN(!), the timer starts to countdown. We finally managed to find a working lobby it seems! The timer hits zero and we're rearing to go, but then, the timer resets! What? Maybe just a glitch nothing more, so we wait for it to count down again. 3,2,1...and it resets yet again, and again, and again.
Yeah, after the countdown restarted for the 5th time, the both of us just hit alt + F4, said our farewells through vent, and wondered if the $60 we spent on this game would ever be worth it.
Guess only time, and a significant patch from Crytek, will tell.
