Computer able to run Crysis?

Post » Thu Sep 17, 2009 3:15 am

I just want to know before I preorder for 360 or PC. I'd really like this for PC, and I just upgraded mine, but I'm still iffy on it. My rig goes as follows:

Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer INC.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Hard Drive: 989 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460

You should be able to run Crysis 2 on the PC very well. :)

Just make sure you have the 1Gb version of the GTX 460 or you will get framerate issues playing at high resolutions like 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.

It is o: It's 1GB DDR5 but I heard they dumbed down the graphics from Crysis. Is it true? I have Crysis and it runs at 16 FPS o.o with my current set up that is.

What settings did you put Crysis on? It should be running at a much higher framerate. Your PC is at least ten times more powerful than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 combined.

You should be able to run the original Crysis and Crysis 2 on high-very high settings with smooth framerates.

Wholesomeflame, i have a gts450 1gb, Q6600, and 2gb ram and run crysis very high with no AA in 1680-1050 and get around 27fps avg.
You will run crysis 2 very well. But back to crysis 1 you should be running alot better than me. What are your settings on? and maybe update your drivers? (=

Up there I said very low on 1024 x 278, no other programs running. I already updated my drivers, I don't know why it's acting up like this. this graphics card was newly installed to, so I'm not too sure why. I'm resorting to forums because if I take it anywhere else, I'll have to pay for it.

Would I be able to run Crysis 2 at high/very high settings at 1440x900 resolution?
These are my computer specs:

-Windows XP Home Edition 2002(SP3)
-Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7400 @2.8GHz/2.8GHz
-3.25 GB RAM
-NVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512GB

I have the first Crysis and I can run that at high settings no problem at all while averaging 50 FPS.

Expect a similar (if not better) performance in Crysis 2.

I'm just worried because the "minimum" video card requirement is a 8800 GT which is basically a tiny bit lower than my 9800 GT. I don't want to buy this game and be stuck running it at low settings. :(

I can't be sure yet but a 8800gt is a very good card still, but don't take my word for it but if you look forward to playing on high settings with no problem you should start saving up and invest in a new card, but all I can say is wait for demo to be released before making decisions.

I don't think you can run it on high, but medium should still look very good and will perform well since you are on a lower resolution. High might work, but you might lag a little bit. The 9800 is pretty old.

I'm curious if my i5 2.66 ghz quad 4GB of RAM with GTX 275 will be able to run Crysis 2.

I was able to run Crysis 1 at about high, but with battles the FPS went to **** (At one point to 2 FPS what the hell..)

I hope Crysis 2 is better optimized, I would be ablet o check it out for sure IF THEY RELEASED A DEMO FOR THE PC ANYTIME SOON. But who knows what is going to happend

You have a mid range video card and trying to run the game on max can have those effects... If you get a GTX 480 or GTX 570, then Crysis 2 should run fine maxed out.

Im sorry to say that you most likely will not be able to run it at high/ very high settings considering that the minimal requirements is an 8800 gt and the 9800 gt and the 8800 gt are quite similar

I just noticed your post about averaging 50 frames. If thats the case, im sure you'll be fine!

My NVidia GeForce 9800 GT run Crysis 1 on High at 35 fps(battle).
