Computer and Xbox 1 controller problems...

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 4:45 am

Hello, I am about 50 hours into the game on my pc and my Xbox controller has started playing up.

Whichever gun I am using keeps firing even when I let go of the controller and rest it on a flat surface.

When I press 'B' for the ingame menu, the controller simply moves the selection to the last section on the right - radio. Even when I select say, Inventory, the controller will over-ride me and move to the radio section.

This obviously impacts my gameplay as I have to sneak around holding a truncheon to conserve ammo.

Even when holding the truncheon, my character tries to hit non existant enemies!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

How does the Xbox controller fair in the control panel diagnostics? Does it respond correctly there?

If you can, swap controllers. Do you have an older one you can try? You can play FO4 with any controller using x360ce emulation sw.

Have you tried disabling the controller in-game then re-enabling it?

It may "reset" it. Just a hunch though.

Thanks for the help folks.

Went into devices and printers, then sort of let the pc 'make changes to the system'

Seems to have worked.

The game is far more enjoyable when I get to choose when my gun fires. :)
