Winterhold? Where Sarthaal used to be?

Yeah, the ruins of Sarthall are nearby.

A Dunmer city you say?

It'll probably be full of Argonians. :D

Well the Dunmer have to have somebody to chop their wood and harvest their crops :D

Why is that?

Argonians may have invaded the now smoldering ash pile of Morrowind, but that has nothing to do with the Dunmer City (whichever one that is) in Skyrim.

Id love to fight Jagar Tharn, mounted on a cliffracer, wielding a huge spear, and then throw his ass on Red Mountain. However, since this has nothing to do with the actual game, I guess I wont get my wish.

The Tribunal is dead, so are Ordinators. Get over it.

What makes you think that the people don't believe in the Tribunal anymore?

Well, there will certainly be some Ordinators, or former Ordinators, alive in Tamriel during the time of Skyrim and the Dragonborn (Dunmer are long-lived, after all). Whether they'll have any remaining structure, influence, or faith, and whether we'll meet any in game, are more relevant questions.

Questions that've just given me like a million quest ideas.

Just seeing some Indoril armour in Skyrim would be great.

Religious zealots are always likely to come up with some reason why they are still right. Maybe they will believe that the tribunal left because of the lack of faith shown by modern day Dunmer and the destruction of Vvardenfell was punishment or something...

I imagine that there will be a lot of refugees in this city, but I don't think the law will be based on tribunal/ morrowind anyway.
It'll just the design of the buildings and population being more Dunmer, sort of like Bruma in Oblivion being more Norse.

It would be cool to see a few dunmer settlements scattered around the eastern coast. I just want some the the armor to return from Morrowind. Specifically chitin and bone mold. And maybe a bone mold fur hybrid. Dark Elves are my favorite race, so I'd love to see them get a liitle part in skyrim.

Seeing as how Skyrim will feature a Dunmer city, do you think that city will feature ordinators? I think it would be great to see them again.
I thought it would be a village, not a city. Big difference.

I don't know...to be honest, I think they could've all been wiped out when everything went to pot on Morrowind

You could be right, actually. I'm not too familiar with the events of The Infernal City, I just figured a few Ordinators must've lived through it all.

And I thought nothing of this had ever been confirmed. Anyone care to provide a source proving that this ever happened?

Awesome!

Hope it's Hlaalu (well I don't know about the actual house, since I haven't played far in MW, I just like the style).

Everyone still hoping Skyrim is going to be Morrowind 2? I think Beth has gone to some lengths to ensure it isn't. I generally see very little influence from previous games at all. Treasure MW and keep in on your harddrive. Its not coming back in a new incarnation.

No, I think people just like the idea of a Dunmer city. Cultural diversity and whatnot, plus since the events of the book, with Red Mountain erupting and Morrowind being taken over by Argonians, there is ample opportunity for story and quest development between the Nords and Dunmer in Skyrim.

I think there is reason to believe Morrowind is a significant influence on Skyrim (beyond it merely being a previous TES game), although certainly not in the sense that they're backtracking from Oblivion. I'm sure Bethesda will re-use themes from previous games, and be influenced by other game series and genres entirely, based on whatever works for Skyrim - but it's hard to argue that there's no Morrowind in there. Particularly in the context of a Dunmer settlement in Skyrim.

Okay. Some posts have been wished into the corn fields. I don't care what anyone's particular religious belief or agenda is - it has no place on this forum. At best, you're dragging an otherwise fine discussion off-topic; so, you know...

Don't do that.

I would expect them too, and I think they would remain elusive. It would be cool if some can show up in the game.
