Concerning the Dunmer city

Diversity? Come on guys, let the nords shine. Let the dunmer go already! It seems as though too many people want Skyrim to be half dunmer, rest everyone else.

I get it, Morrowind was great and presented the dunmer culture really well. But for the love of Nurgle and Khorne, let someone else get some loving already! Let Skyrim do to the nords what Morrowind did to the dunmer!

^ Yeah!

I hate the stupid dunmer anyway. Why won't they get the memo and just die off already? No one in Tamriel likes them.

As long as the nords are racist slavers etc etc no one will notice any differance!
Failing that, build a time machine and travel to the american south before the civil war! (joke)

As I recall, it is a dunmer settlement. Wether that means actual city, village, or just that valley over there is yet to be told. And keep in mind that the dunmer there are -refugees-. First you had the Ministry fall and take out Vaarnenfell, then you had the Argonians invading from the south, no doubt pushing the southern survivors of the first catastrophe north. You most likely will have a little bit of every Dunmer cultural trope and group have at least one representative. But you are still talking about a people who were essentially nuked, then invaded and lost, being driven out of their land. They may be stubbornly sticking to whatever they could......or they might have been broken, and are more concerned keeping their race alive than their old culture.

We shall see.....

Would be cool to find an old set of Ordinator armor hidden somewhere.

The problem is that the Dunmer society was created almost whole-cloth with no easy real world comparison, whereas the Nords are, well, Nordic. Now, I would be glad to see the Nords get some Dunmer treatment (as in, they have morally ambiguous cultural practices and the setting is alien enough to actually want to explore), but if Skyrim is going to be another Cyrodiil, well, excuse me for wanting to explore Morrowind more. Or Black Marsh. Elsweyr would be pretty sweet, too. Hammerfell could be nice if Redguard culture retains its uniqueness. And I do hear Summerset and Valenwood are quite non-standard this time of year.

You catchin' my drift?

Yeah, and I'd wish this drift would stop. I know pretty much everyone and their mothers want another Morrowind, but I'd like to get away from Morrowind and the dunmer and have a great experience with the nords. Hell, if the game was set in Summerset, I bet the same amount of people would want the altmer to be full of dunmer, with dunmer this, and dunmer that.

I loved Morrowind, but I don't want to play it again.

Religious zealots are always likely to come up with some reason why they are still right. Maybe they will believe that the tribunal left because of the lack of faith shown by modern day Dunmer and the destruction of Vvardenfell was punishment or something...

Yeah, they could maybe be hoping for the reincarnation of Sotha and Alexmexia (and Vivec if he's dead), so that would merit the religion to remain.

but thats just a possibility. I would bet against it.

Be great to see some Telvanni towers, but Ordinators are not likely, as Indoril was picked apart by an Helseth / house Dres union during the events of Oblivion.

Too bad. Their armor could still be around though.

I think the reason most people want to see whats going on with the dunmer is because it's really interesting how they got forced out of morrowind. Where do they go now? whats going to become of them? And skyrim is RIGHT THERE, so why wouldn't they go to skyrim?

Also we all (mostly) got well aquainted with the Dunmer in Morrowind, so many of us are intereseted in their ways. I bet if Elder Scrolls III was Skyrim and V was Morrowind, the exact opposite would be happening.

I for one had no desire to see dunmer culture in Oblivion. so i know i wouldn't care about any in Summerset Isle.
