conditioned magic effects

I want to put several conditioned magic effects into spell tab (there would be only one active, and one condition per effect).

I remember reading somewhere that putting too many conditions is "doing it wrong" - is that the case with too many effects with one condition as well?

How often are conditions checked? How many is too many?

Say I place 3 spells with 5 effects (giving 15 conditions to check) on every NPC in cell - would something explode?
