While that may be true, who am I to deliver cold, hard, truth? To select myself as judge and jury of the community would be utterly selfish. There are ways of conveying your opinion without being mean. You can put it out there, and they can take it, if it was indeed the truth, they're missing out, but at least you tried in a non-offensive way.
Selecting yourself as the judge and jury would indeed be selfish, luckily we aren't doing that, are we? In a community like this, everyone except the moderators are equal.
Let me simplify it for you, this is something I don't usually need to do with you:
We are equal people with different opinions and thoughts. Everyone has his standpoint in something because of what he thinks. What he thinks, is a result of all the persons past experiences, all the little interactions, from me telling you you're wrong, to some distant atomic collision which played it's role in ultimately creating the human species, and therefore you.
Because of our experiences, we will behave and believe differently, even irrationally. Sometimes because our views are twisted, sometimes because we were lacking a piece of the puzzle.
That's what we are. And for the greater good, it's everyones duty to discuss, debate, and lay out cold, hard truths to eachother. Sometimes it can be difficult, and you need to use bigger guns in order to pull down the screwed up wiring somewhere in a persons head. And that can often seem mean.
If anybody has even read this far, let's think for a moment on those who are still in denial about scar+laser being, let's just go with ''glitch, or perhaps cowardly''.
Every scar+laser user that I have managed to convince of the bugs existence, and that it's cowardly, has reason to thank me now. Why? Even though they were first angry at me for belittling their ''skill'' ingame?
Yup. Because they learned the truth and realized, that most of their ''skill'' was actually just using the easiest gun ingame. And when they stopped using it and moved on to less overpowered guns, after a while, they started learning for REAL. REAL SKILL.
So what do we do with the people that still doesn't understand it? The best way is to show concrete stuff. But the ''cowardly'' part is harder to change, some people are inherently drawn to the easiest way out, and there is little we can do to change it. But that shouldn't stop you from pointing out, time after time, that they're wrong.
That's what's needed. And that's what you've often given. There have been.. a few exceptions where you actually were plain insulting without a real purpose, so let's just end THAT instead of the ''trolling'' you've been doing.
