Confirmation on Werewolves

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 10:11 am

Why won't the development team confirm if werewolves are in this game? And why were they left out of Oblivion?

For some reason, I have the feeling they will be left out (again). :(

Technically werewolves weren't in Morrowind either. Oblivion also didn't get the expansion love that Morrowind did so werewolves could've been in the second Oblivion expansion that never happened

BGS came to the conclusion that shorter, more frequent expansions (IE Fallout 3) are just as efficient, if not better than the longer, drawn out expansions (IE Morrowind). Ultimately, even though Shivering Isles was a huge success, it required a lot of time and effort to get the expansion done.

Don't get your hopes up. I highly doubt we will get werewolves, at least not be able to contract lycanthropy.

Would require a huge set of new animations and such. Don't see it happening, personally.

Well given the romanticism of Werewolves and Vampires over the last several years, I don't think Bethesda would miss the chance to get in on that cash cow. We've had werecreatures and vampires throughout all the games and it seems now more than ever is the best time to have them in the game.

Frankly I could care less about getting werewolves as long as we get werebears.

This indeed. It is like a plague! Twighlight comes out and now every body is interested in Vamps and Werewolvies! Not only that but they throw out centuries of folk lore on the two. Sparkling, daytime vamps. Pssh....

Are you announcing that werewolves are confirmed and have the information from a credible source? O, you're not. So then why don't you have a question mark on the end of your title to suggest your thread is a question, not an announcement.

Can people please making misleading thread titles??!!!

Werewolves will be in Skyrim people..... I dont question it at all. Its the perfect environment for them, plus this is the chance to make up for not having them in OB. Its practically a guarantee.

Things that Bethesda is 'looking in to' or 'waiting to see if they will implement" = Things that are going to be in the game.

Actually, Twilight just jumped on the bandwagon as well. Not sure exactly where the fascination really took root in our culture - Underworld, perhaps? Probably before that, though.

so long as both vampires and were wolves are in i'm happy, i don't want one or the other i want both. Most of all though I want them to contradict everything that twilight fans think makes them, go with a combination of the actual violent folk lore and the best bits of bethesda's own lore.

Could people stop posting threads with misleading titles presenting questions as facts?

Oh, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmilla than that.

Personally I quite liked the first Twilight film. It's a bit of a goofy take on vampires, but awful vampire films existed long before Twilight, and awful vampire films will be made long after Twilight's forgotten.

Here's hoping for werewolves (and werebears!) in Skyrim, anyway.

Unfortunately, they likely will be left out. However, when they WERE in Morrowind, it was part of an expansion pack, which means they may include them in a DLC or something.

i do miss the days of towns burning suspected vampires and the old lore, i hate modern day interpretations,if they implement these i hope they stick to the lore, because if i see one sparkling vampire i WILL KILL EVERY SINGLE NPC IN THE GAME,

i am hoping for both werewolves and werebears in game, if they are they will stick to the lore of the game which is closer to our folk lore
