It's up now. Let's play a rousing round of guess that gun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.45-70. First thing that came to mind was Trapdoor Springfield. That's a little far afield for Fallout would be my guess. Maybe large frame revolver? Already got the .44Mag for that, but the .45-70's TKO is much higher. Lots of levers come in .45-70, but the 2 we know so far are in .44 & .357. Hmmm. Let me ponder this awhile. :read:

..............i dont get it..........

So far we have heard of no specific constructable weapons.

Ouch

*** I modded my own rifle, that fired single shot energy clips as shells ~powerfull damage (but rare and expensive ammo); Later if the player wished, they could (with the skills) dismantle a plasma rifle and use the parts to convert the gun to microfusion ammo (but at reduced damage / with greater ROF). I don't see why these can't be in the official game, and not solely in the realm of user mods.

That's along the lines I'm thinking. Maybe not the Marlins. Already got a lot of levers. Sharps would be interesting, but like the Trapdoor, doesn't strike me as suitable for the environment. I'ma gonna guess Ruger No1 single shot. Hella strong action for the +P loads Josh'll mod in for us. The few rolling blocks that quickly come to mind aren't in .45-70. Would be cool, though.

I noticed the Ruger too. Guess I didn't think of that one. I was also weirded out, kept thinking that there would be more lever action ones with this detail. But I'm gambling on the Ruger or Sharps, as well. Unless they are putting more lever action. Can't think of what else could use it and be included..

I'ts either one of them or a BFR. I'll have to look at the cover art to see if the cylinder of the revolver the NCR Ranger has is long enough for .45-70. We've never confirmed what gun that is or if it's even in the game.

Good idea. Damn, it's nice to have an expert around. Wish my knowledge was more up there. (Research time!) Plus, I'm gonna check out the BFR. Didn't ring a bell for me.

Gotta respect a revolver that can be chambered for the .50 Beowulf.

For me this board is godsend as I do most surfing while on standby at work. Good connection but FILTERED! I cannot get to sites like the vault wiki so I am getting all my info here.
So... Thanks those who bring the goodness into domains I can read.

I'm forgetting the http://www.winchesterguns.com/products/catalog/historic-detail.asp?family=002C&mid=534160, another Browning gun, and Josh do love his http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Browning.

I'd love to see a Winchester, my dad's friend found one while farming in Georgia, it was sticking right up out of the ground, amazing :)
