Conflicting Info... Physical Copy ON Release Day?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:13 am

If it's not stated explicitly, I wouldn't assume it's same day/launch day delivery. Call them. That said, I bought mine at GameStop and while they say they plan to get it to me on launch day, there's a clause saying it's not a guarantee, because, well, @#$% happens. :/

Well I'm not sure how they will work but I know Amazon ships three days before to make it on release day. I am assuming if you paid Expedited then you will get the same thing.

Whether you pay for expedited or not, that would just relate to the actually "transportation", not when it leaves the shop. If you live close to wherever they're shipping from, standard ground could deliver in as little as one or two days. So the question becomes, when does Beth intend on shipping out pre-orders? According to my order confirmation, that's on launch day.

Ahh I see what you're saying. If it says it ships on release day then you'll get it after release.

Yeah, I'm afraid so. I've asked them, though and will post the answer here when I get it.

Be prepared to wait. At least for me I had to wait a long time for a response from them.

I don't expect to see my Pipboy Edition until well after release day. But it's OK, I have a digital copy I bought on GMG for release day.

I'm *hoping*, but not counting on, getting at least one of my orders on the 9th (I have one from Amazon, and one from Best Buy - both 2nd day delivery - one is for a friend...the 2nd one delivered, of course) - as the game unlocks at 10pm my time on the 9th. But, likely they won't arrive until the 10th. At least I'll get some sleep the day before and be fully rested and ready to go when they do come. Oh - and I will be able to check the boards for any bugs that people may have encountered and any work-arounds/fixes that I may have to check into or updates I may have to do.

Assuming you have a physical copy, you should just be able to pop the disk in and play. You won't have the day one patch most likely but you'll be able to play.
