Confused much?

Ok I've gotten all the way to going back home after rescuing the MM, but damn I still can't figure out half of this UI. (played all prior games).

CC, how to I turn to the side while looking in the mirror so I can see my side profile?

When comparing items in my inventory what do the +++ and --- mean? I thought it was obvious but it seems to mean the opposite sometimes? What do the codes mean?

Clearing the hometown and rebuilding it is a nightmare. How the hell does this work?

Inventory. I've dumped items into the workbenches, but once something is in the workbench how do I scrap it for parts? It's like there's a fan in the workbench, I want the parts, but I can't figure out how to scrap it once it's in the storage or even in my inventory.

Re: scrapping items in workbench. I haven't had time to test this yet, but I read somewhere that you can mod/craft with any junk item in the workbench even if it isn't scrapped. This could (possibly) be tested by checking a specific item for components, and then seeing if the number of said components increases when the item is in the bench. Alternatively, you could try and build an item/weapon mod that requires at least one component from a junk item that hasn't been scrapped yet.

Also, if you have a mouse with additional buttons that you can assign, you may want to bind one of them to the 'Enter' key. This will save you a LOT of time whilst scrapping/creating items, instead of reaching across the keyboard every time.

Hope that helps :)

I've give it a try. Honestly I think I'll just leave crafting alone until I get enough perks to make it worth trying.

Thanks.

I found that the Action Key, in my case the E key, functions just like pressing the Enter key so that speeds things up a bit when it comes to scrapping multiple items

Hold right mouse button and move the mouse, to pan camera in cc.

+ Means higher value, and - means lower value then what you currently have equipped, multiple + or minus means a bigger difference. The shield is physical protection, the lightning is energy weapon resistance, and the radioactive is radiation resistance, and there's also poison resistance.

The quest from the elvis dude will tell you what you need to build in the settlement, you don't need to build any new buildings or anything just items. You don't need to scrap any loot you find, scrapping is just done on junk buildings and dead trees that lie around that you can't pick up and can't build or move in the build mode. All junk items can be stored in workshop with the store all function and will be broken down automatically when needed.

Weapons and armor i am unsure how work. I know you can store them in the workshop, but i am unsure if they wiil be auto scrapped like junk does. but since they can be scrapped into better parts with the right perks i have decided to just store them in there own container until i get those perks. And i have a feeling i will be selling a lot of my spare armor/weapons.

*You cannot scrap anything in the workshop because it is not needed. If you for some reason wanna scrap armor or weapons keep them in inventory and use the crafting stations, when you select a weapon or armor you get the option to scrap it, but like i said above, unless you have the perks they will not scrap into anything worthwhile, so you are just throwing money away. The exception might be leather armor cause i have't found much junk that gives leather.
