I am sick of the PC/360/PS3 War. Everyone has their own preference, so the geek trollers and flamers just need to STFU. I play both 360 and PC games depending on what the game is and if it has modding tools sometimes.

Nope. Not because of us, "Console Dudes." I'm a console dude, nothing against PC gamers and I respect those who put the time and effort into their rig. I just play on consoles cause I don't have the income and, I like them.

This was done by the developer. Us console gamers don't actively ourselves go out and force dev's to make their big technical games run on admittedly aging hardware. This is done by the developer (Perhaps with pressure from the publisher) And this is done because consoles are where the money is.

And do you think that for a moment Crytek and EA would pump the millions of dollars into a big title like this unless there was a possibility of a bankable return on their investment? Crysis 2 might not be the game it is today, or might still be in development if it weren't for the possibility of greater returns offered by multiplatform support.

I am sad to hear Crysis 2 on PC isn't working well. Not because of the hardware BS, But because it's a great game. It's sad to hear other gamers aren't able to enjoy the game.

They should have made the game basics, and had another two studios work on the graphics portion of the PC and Console versions so that both are refined better. However, I can understand from money reasons why they didn't. Im sure there will be another Crysis and I hope Crytek learns from this and does just that.

If Crysis 2 sells well, I believe they will. Crysis 2 is breaking new ground on non-PC platforms. If it becomes a hit on consoles and then EA and Crytek can rely on strong sales for a furture Crysis 3, maybe then they can afford to pay the extra cash to ensure smooth delivery for all platforms.

The PC version works just fine, DX11 was announced to come in through patches, there will be the Sandbox Editor 3 in summer, the multiplayer is great and very balanced, and the graphics on PC are ridiculously awesome...I almost, ALMOST, mistook it for a DX10 game for a sec.

Crytek still supports PC, they just didn't have enough time to finish the PC features. Thank EA for giving them a release date that's too soon. And also, now they can't answer well because they have problems on 360, PS3, AND PC to have to deal with. Something ignorant idiots like you don't realize. The game was made for PC, it was made for 360, and it was made for PS3. Not a port in anyway. How so? Because it's made on the CryEngine 3.

I was a PC gamer for the last 10yrs (consoles before that from NES thru N64) and I just bought my xbox last summer. I did it b/c I was already gaming with the PC using a 360 controller and HDMI cable to my plasma screen.....so really my PC was a glorified Xbox at that point. I loved the original Crysis games, although I don't think a console would be able to render all the 3D foliage from the first games. It would just be horrendous to see how slow that would be, lol.

It is too bad that consoles do hold back the gaming industry in terms of advancement of graphics, however the stability of platform programming is nice and the cost is fractional compared to building a PC to take on gaming as I had done for 10yrs. Hopefully programmers will get new console platform specs to program for sometime next year and we can FINALLY get to DX11 or 12 and out of the ancient DX9 era. I'm tired of noob whiners not understanding that graphics have peaked and they keep expecting more out of their 6yr old tech!

Guy stop this little war this was like this 10 years ago. You like Pc fine you like putting 5, 500 $ into something just for a game at 59,99$ your choice. But don't come here saying anything about console. There fine, cost less, And have more nice game than you can ever imagine on your ... of pc. I have a nice pc also but I dislike mouse en keyboard style. this is my choice, don't come here saying it's better with them it's not. It might be better for you but for a lot of people it's not. Pc are there just to make sure you will need to be the last graphic card or mother board just to be able able to play a **** game lol. For the price of your computer I can have a xbox 360 and around 50 games ( new one if you go with used maybe 80 lol). Seem like more fun to have 50 games than one games that have (for most people on pc) moderate graphic. Same war happen now for strategic game and in 10 years it was be forgotten like in shooter. 10 years ago pc gamers cry about how much more cooler shooter were on pc and this is no true. The CryEngine 3 software has a function to export a Xbox and PS3 version which then prob get optimized....like I explained on the previous page.

I can dig the last part of this, I have played pc games since C64.
Over the last 15 years I have gotten really bored with using the M&K.
I still have a Great Gaming PC but I only play Flight Sims on it at this point.

That is because alot players svck att gaming with gamepad too. But 90% of the time i win against M&K players with my gamepad.

So nobody can say that M&K is superior to gamepad because i know its all up to how you play and what split decisions you make.

[Edit] One thing i can agree on is that M&K players really have the upper hand when they are sniping.

Thats why the game is running in DX9 instead of 10 or 11 (Crysis 1 had DX10)
Thats why the textures are low-res
