Since the 1.9 patch EVERYONE has problems with FPS drop and darkness! (please, people with 1000000$ PC's stay away and don't post here).
I have come from a multiplayer game, and i am very very angry! Skyline FPS drop when on top building, Statue FPS drop when near barrels with fire, or when shooting from under the leaves...
OFC i died alot of times before my last kill to max nanosuit or ceph because of that.
WTF! WHAT where you thinking when you enabled the new effects by default, and put no on/off button to them??? I tell you what, NOTHING.
I am sure that many many others with GTX 260 and the GPUs around that performace suffer from FPS drop. All worked fine on 1.8. WHY THE F* couldn't you simply make the 1.9 the same as 1.8, and add option to enable/disable the special filters, colors, shadings etc. for those who have the necessary GPU power. Why did you enabled it to everyone?
I really don't care what you do to my account for insulting and all, but i dont fcking care!!! Game is unplayable now for these GPUs, and strange, because in 1.8 i didnt have 1 singe problem with FPS drop. I regret buying this game now. What do you think, i and the others will run to the store to buy another video card just to play this with decent FPS on simple high settings that worked before? Because that will not happen. I uderstad that you made some mistakes, bugs still here and there, BUT COME THE F* ON! this is bull$hit
I have lost all my desire to play this game.
For me the 1.8 looked very good. Wanted to add something more, good, but make it optional. Things like this encourage piracy.. Why should i buy the game when the developer $hits on my face? Transforms a game that worked good for many people into something that works ok for 20% of them. What should the other 80% of us do? i guess we go and *fap*
this is the second time i Rage and quit the game today, because of FPS drop.

Before you lock this topic, i want to say that i wanted to congratulate the GOOD guys from crytek. I have the right to open a thread and congratulate them for theyr fine work, right?

PS: Adam tell me which part is abusive? so i can correct it. Is it the part where i rage for not being able to play anymore? or the part where i step a bit n theyr toes for not doing theyr job correctly?

If you use the same settings the game runs exactly the same. I ran this game at Very High settings and it runs the same before and after, even with HRT, and this is with a workaround with a 512MB card.

Just don't use the Ultra setting.

It's not just me, it's 60% of the players or more (because the rest have GTX 990 and can play on ultra mega extra).

Play DX9 then. What's your problem? I have a GTX460 1GB and I'm happy and DX9 mode is great for performance.

I'm able to play this game up to 1080p on high with my laptop with NO DX11 or HRT in multiplayer with over 30FPS.

And once again, my laptop graphics card is equivalent to a 9800GT for desktops.

EDIT : Just lower your settings during multiplayer. Thats MPO anyway.

1. what part of HIGH settings dont you understand? do you have medium settings on your laptop?? Becasue AFAIK High is the lowest
2. with 30FPS you play a slideshow in this game. How many slides do you have when you stand next to a barrel in Statue map?

1 - I say HIGH because that's what it's called in game. I know it's the lowest setting.
2 - 30FPS is enough for me to frag and get near the top 3 scores (if not in the top 3) almost every game.

and you had the same performace before? no higher FPS with 1.8?

I want to thank Crytek too. While this patch does have some major issues that still need a look at, i am willing to stand behind them again.

I saw no visible drop since it was patched to 1.9 from 1.8

I guess this problem varies from user to user.

Read the 2nd page, and see how many players experiencing the same issue as i am. GTX 460 has more power, and FPS difference is not noticeable.
GTX260 and the ones in rang with it feel it immediately. There will be more players posting here. Please go and test how many frames do you have in skyline looking from the tallest building, look around, and in Statue go to a burning barrel and tell me if you still have ~30 FPS.

+1 I'm having the same exact problem as u.

you and many others. OFC those with GTX590 don't notice any difference only when enabling HR textures, and DX 11, but mainstream and lower end GPU users feel it immediately, especially when all worked normally before 1.9.
+that we are forced with this darkness with no option to disable this. (command prompt temporary disable is not an answer to this).

Upgrade your system to something like a GTX 570 or higher then you will be able to play at the highest. GTX 570 will cost 270 dollars

I have exactly same problems. Before patch 1.9 my FPS in multiplayer never drop below ~90-120, but after 1.9 my fps starts constantly drops to 15-30 ON THE SAME SETTINGS. I can normally play SP with all on ULTRA, DX11 and HI-RES textures @1080p with 35-80fps, but MP after 1.9 is just unplayable for me on any settings.

I have a 9600GT which svcks monkey balls i know but on high settings it was running as smooth as silk before patch 1.9 and i dont feel like upgrading for this game.

P.S. i only applied patch 1.9 because of my hardware.

And why should i upgrade from GTX 260 NOW when game worked flawlessy with 1.8 and everything on high. This patch is made for the ones like you, running and buying a new GPU just because patch is messed up. The rest of of who think sit down and think about it:
"dude, it was running fine with 1.8, and now with 1.9 it's fcked up. So what could cause the problem? the GPU or the patch?"

Do you understand that it worked FLAWLESSLY before? And all the games i play work on max with my GPU. I payed an arm and a leg for this GPU when it appeared, and it's still keeping up with majority of games (90%).
It's the 3rd time when i say that PEOPLE WITH 2x/4x/1000x the PERFORMACE of GTX260 KEEP AWAY AND DONT POST HERE!

@night wolf. my PC is 4 years old now. i have a quad core with a rescently bought GTX 570. wich when not set to insane graphics run the texture pack and DX11 on 45 ~ 60 FPS. it cost me a total of 260 dollars for the videocard. in the past 4 years. so i think i dont meet your dont post requirements of $10000+ PC.

Off course i had a frame drop after the update, but hell who didnt? there all of a sudden have been a 100% upgrade of graphical beauty and a leap from DX9 to DX11 with all features that come with it. Not to mention you need a minimum of 6 GB of ram to even play the high res pack flawless.

I dont understand why people keep blaming crytek for making the best game even more realistic... first its DX9.. everyone biching around WHY NOT DX11... Crytek svcks bla bla... now you've got DX11 and people start bichin again that they cant run it.

Get real people! buy a descent PC or accept that its outdated and stop playing one of the most beautyfull games there is!
