Hi I read about this and then confirmed it with my Breton character. It seems when having spell absorption that your absorption also has a chance to absorb your own summons. The Breton absorption power lasts 60 seconds and gives 50% absorption chance (1 out of 2) and I found spamming the familiar summon with level 26 character amount of magic I could firmly conclude that the power is absorbing the summon 50% of the time.

So pretty much considering that I like summoning I won't take the absorb perk or absorb stone (autronach). Kind of disappointing. Does anyone have thoughts on this conflict between absorb and summon? On PS4 is it possible they will patch this?

I believe this has been a problem ever since the game was released in 2011.

There's probably a mod to fix it.
