I've got a lvl 40 mage that can summon a pair of these Lord Daedra guys (tall armored devil looking guys with big swords). The conversation they have is really funny. Like, "I smell fear!". I just sit back and listen to their comments as they hack the enemies to pieces. Its pretty hilarious.

I stopped using them because they were so powerful, I really didn't do anything other than loot the corpses left in their wake. So now I have about 7-8 perks spent on a tree I don't use. Brilliant!

You could use a less powerful summons if you don't like the Dremora, you are not forced to use them.

It's kinda the idea of Conjuration to sit on your ass and watch your minions do stuff for you.
Also, you can always rise the difficulty.
