Conjured Scamps

Well I have been playing my game for a while and I didn't really use scamps as summons with most of my characters, it looks like they are very reliable when the player is on low level and if he is vulnerable, however for a while as I played I don't think I noticed my scamp fire a spell I don't understand why and how, did any of the mods that I use change this? I noticed that they use fireballs and spell reflection when my friend was telling me about using them.
Well I could post my load order but I don't really have much mods this time and the magic mod that I use is SM, I also use TIE however I removed the spell changes in the bashed patch.
I would really like it if you could give me some information about the scamps or even the daedra themselves I am kinda curious, I looked on UESPWiki but its not enough info, also I hope I get a few answers from a fellow player who also plays with SM.
Just to point out that my friend was playing with OOO and SM.

Also if you don't understand what I'm saying please post something, anything is good :D

As far as I know, summoned scamps work fine with SM. It's been a while since I've used them, but I have used flame atronachs and they certainly use their spells. I'm pretty sure the scamps did too. The UESP wiki does have some good info. Iirc, you need to look up the creatures page - I believe they also list the stats for the summoned versions of creatures in there. I think you need to click on the creature listing to get the extra info. I don't use OOO so I can't comment on that.

Look on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Summon are slightly different creatures to normal ones, but should have a flare spell availiable.
A few things I do know are that OOO beefs up the summoned scamp considerably, making it a great choice for early levels. LAME provides a spell called Summon Buggers (Journeyman) which summons a scamp and a spiderling. THAT scamp does fireballs, of that I'm 100% positive!

Fought against a minotaur today and i summoned two of them scamps and they just used physical attacks to kill him, no spells :sad:
The non-summoned scamps do cast spells
I think I'm gonna go into rage mode soon :swear:

I think this might be a distance thing. They probably only use ranged spells from a distance (and untill they run out of magicka) and resort to H2H at close range.

Otherwise, use TES4Edit to see if any mods are altering scamps

Speaking of Magicka - perhaps one of your mods is adjusting their magicka pool so they don;t have enough to use their spell.
