aaaah damnit :)
I just reinstalled morrowind after taking a break for a year. I remember connary his texture packs to be the only one I could actually play with and still feel like I was playing the original game. And now they are nowhere to be found on the internet. Ive spent the last few hours looking for them only to find a few minor texture packs he released, but nothing comprehensive or big.

The waiting will kill me if I start to play again, I might postphone my game untill he releases a full version!
Hope rl doesnt snatch him too often before its finished

See Kalian's recent post, or in fact, my recent post. And http://www.megaupload.com/?f=EEDION00 and http://www.megaupload.com/?f=9Z7BEUZO. At least, I think those still work.

I'm too lazy to look at the uploaded archives at the moment. I really don't remember - did connary ever complete the Vivec/Velothi retextures? The Visual Pack ones are too clean (walls look like breadcrumbs and every trim has to be glistening marble/bronze), and almost every other one makes the city just look comically pristine.

tbh I'm just looking for connary's Ebonheart dragon statue retexture since the original is so fugly (even considering the release date) and I'm planning on reskinning it myself. Wouldn't bother if his is decent.

You could use http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1066169&hl=... :whisper:

hm, isn't his vivec pack "Velothis sons"? is it unfinished? you should try http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=1051884&view=findpost&p=15257463 which is as beautiful as connary's.

First, these are for Morrowind, not Oblivion.
Secondly, they are plugin-less texture replacers. They do not have an esp that needs activating.

If these are the BSA versions, you'll have to register the BSA in your Morrowind.ini file.

ow yeah I meant morrowind, I just wanted to say something about being able to load bsa files easily in oblivion :P
Its the bsa file, what line do I add in my ini file to make it work?

Yup.

It's all merged into one folder so I'll have to test in game whether they used the daedric textures I like.

Hm.
Well, if so, I'll download and make a separate bsa with creatures only. I'm too lazy to download his textures, full pack is much better.
Thanks for link.

I like only some of them, heh. I use Darknuts addon mods.

It would have been nice if he hadn't deleted all of his old stuff like a year in advance of another release...

Is there anywhere that it's available? It really should be reupped by now. I lost all of my MW stuff in an HDD crash and it's really difficult to piece everything back together.

Why don't you just send him a message and politely ask if its possible to get a copy of his previously released works. He's even stated before that he doesn't mind people asking him for his works, but he has no intention of placing them at a permanent d/l sight anymore, he will wait for his compendium to be complete to make another permanent release.

Well, mostly because I did a fairly large mod project (for another game) and know how incredibly annoying it is to get personal requests from people. :P

I just wish he'd reup it. He can take it down again once the new one is released.

I just downloaded connary's textures, and WOW!

The only thing i dont like about these textures is the ancestral tombs. Way too bright imo for a tomb, dont get me wrong they look good they just dont seem appropriate for a tomb. Ill just stick with darker morrwind's tomb texture.

It still gets a 10 from me.
