Connary's Graphical Compendium

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:41 pm

Yeah, exactly. It's like...wow, ok, in Oblivion Daedric armor is soooo damn common that generic bandit #2342345 has the tenth pair you've seen since you entered the dungeon. It's just...horrible! It looked cool, sure, but it has to be RARE to retain the cool and stunning factor. Which is why I LOOOOVE how Morrowind handled it. Only like 2 complete sets in the whole game. ^_^

Yeah! I was there helping McMuffin out while he was developing it. SO much better. God, just look at the artistic prowess over Oblivion's lame armor. :P

Hi there folks!

First of, a big thank you to Connary for all the wonderful and lovely textures!
I recently did the whole backup files and install XP new routine and seemed to have missed these files.
Now my big problem is that all links that go to PlanetElderscrolls (be it from the #4 Thread or the ESSearch engine by Yacoby) tell me that the file could not be found.
Searching for the mods manually didn't help either. Only the few mods that are at ElricM's site seem to work.

So, if you folks don't mind me asking, how can I access these lovely little pearls now?

You'll have to wait for a bit (like us all) as Connary removed them in anticipation of the Graphical Compendiums release.

Connary, after trolling this thread I'm at a loss for words, I've been pondering what to say for the last 3 days, and only thing I can think of is that this is stunning, simply stunning.

A while ago, I was directed to the website of one of the concept artists/artists (Mark Jones) for several TES games, including Morrowind! Not all of the links appear to work, but many are still up and working.

Yeah yeah, I know. I need to update..... ;)

While looking for some of Connary's old mods I stumbled upon this topic, and all I can say is WOW! This is by far the most amazing and ambitious texture mod I have seen and I am eagerly awaiting it's release.

Ah the comforting sheltering woodiness of it all! Perfect for keeping out nasty dust and blight storms. Stunning work Connary where my eyes become as hands feeling with the mind the surface grain of trees ancient talking to us of times past in the very fiber of their being.

Connary, do you plan to use any of Korana's textures? Like how she replaced the good skooma pipe, etc.... Or are you not going to work on replacing miscellaneous items like those?

No plan. My replacements are very near the original look. The spirit of the base game must remain in my mod. Then you can put on top final art from other modders that changes things drastically.

In fact i decided to bring some impulse to the mod and try to upload a most finished one. Need a lot of testing to get the final result. Im changing dozens of textures with better colors and definition in landscapes. This is the reason i dont show nothing about. Im also doing new meshes on certain places where the vanilla dont work for me (like doors).

Thanks for the input as always.

I know his work is rather amazing, but if he only here's the good comments. Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of helping him make better quality?

I don't have any comment's for changing anything at the moment though. =)

Oh, well sorta. Will the compendium be like, last mod = used? Like you have his compendium, then drop some other replacer's on top to use the last one's.
