Connary's great houses. IMPERIAL (Housing)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:48 am

http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/571/housing4bz7.jpg, is that yours?

Its an Oblivion mesh. Not uploadable.

The mod its nearly finished but i have some doubts with the interior wooden walls:
The original bethesda one its a very fantasy one and i cant find good similar references. This one works really well (a lot of work needed to paint this irregular wooden pattern) but perhaps can be a step back in style:

In other hand the carvings in my old mod the rich wood mod are going to Sholsteim because its a Norwegian Viking reference.

Please feedback an ideas.......

For references on it, I would look to the original texture and modify from there. It looks good, as is...but I don't know...now that you mention it, it does kind of lack any fantasy-like qualities. It looks banded, too, kind of.

Well, I don't see much fantasy element in the original one... Yours is a bit simpler, but I'd say better to the eye. And better matched for Imp that your previous texture (good move, for the Solstheim!).

I am not sure which re-texture I am currently using, but it is 1024x1024x24 and looks pretty good.

This is my own texture for the rich wood mod. This reference are going to Solstheim due its viking origin.

Rich wood panelling added??

Thought it might be as most of the re-textures I have going are yours. The new one looks good, too.

Hey Connary, are those Qarl's bottles in those shots or are you using something else?

Hi Painkiller??

No more teasing??? I dont have time now :( .
Im trying to finish all my WIPs and upload all the work at the same time. This will be the last landscape ones and im working now in the most difficult references (for me of course, like the AI tree leaves) and check a few cells to see if all work well together.

-The imp are finished adding a lot of forgotten objects like the spinning wheel or the loom....
-AI its nearly finished, perhaps it left to finish one leaf ref.
-AC its nearly finished and also it left one stone ref.
-RM Red Mountain its finished.
-MA Molag Amur V2 its finished.
-Sewers V2 finished.
-Im modifying dozens of Velothi meshes for a seamless look, nearly finished.
-The tapestries are finished.
- All the rings and amulets are nearly finished, perhaps left four art rings to finish.

Please take a look to my weaponry topic, perhaps you can use some textures of your like and improve the results with bumps. ;-)

Good modding time

Awesome, I look forward to all of them. The other one I was looking forward to that is not on that list was Solstheim, is there any chance of that being finished with the rest?

What about the Bestiary?

There are several WIPs there that have not been released.

Good modding time

This is excellent news! I am about to finish the stuff I'm working on (the armoury), so I will have some time for playing (incl. playing with some bumped weapons, as you suggest).

BTW, do you have any screenies with your tapestries? I did a bunch of my own, based mostly on http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l256/Painkiller_rider/MORROWIND/PMW_Tapestries13.jpg and http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l256/Painkiller_rider/MORROWIND/PMW_Tapestries3.jpg art, and I'd hate to overlap with your work...

I'll take a look at the weapons' thread now.

Cheers,
Pain.

Lol, no I do not leave the modding forever, I do not have as much time as before and i will take care of all the most advanced WIPs and upload a good amount as rapidly as possible (a week or two, it depends on RL) but i will work slowly but surely in all the Morrowind references including the two add ons and the most appreciated mods by my like TR. Mod for Morrowind its relaxing and a perfect way to RL disconnection. I hope i can work with some of us in new projects in a nearly future when i get all of this available ;-)

P.D.: about the divines, etc tapestries i only filtered a fabric texture over a high res original Beth ones. The results are the same like the original game but more HiRes. The common ones are a collection of rare real pieces from Persian, Afghanistan, etc with the same colour references that the original ones.
