Connary's Mods, Work, Discussion #2

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 5:50 am

I know of your X3 project, have you worked on any others?

No.

Don't forget about OpenMW or MCP.

Oh absolutely?

Hey Connary, I have a couple requests for screenshots (if you feel so inclined)-- (1) I'd love to see your latest takes on the dreugh, goblin, and cliffracer, and (2) Any chance you've gotten to the Daedric statues yet?

1 Sorry I don't worked on this beast.

2 Ok, here we go: http://img72.imageshack.us/i/ash6a.jpg/
It uses the same tech than the daedric architecture in my old mod. Only the runes had reflection that reacts to the player position.

Hey Connary, I'm a lover of your works and am waiting on the finishing of this package for a giant Morrowind playthrough. One thing I do like is your Main Menu textures, very very much. Now, from what I can tell that image is a concept, so I have a question: Have you considered making the depictions on the main screen something along the lines of the propechy of the Nerevarine's return? I think it would be a slight but clever touch

Connary, can you confirm that you will be redoing Statics: furn_coalpile00 and furn_coals_hot?

The original chain armour looked rubbish, this one you made actually looks wearable Connary! One of the worst looking armours now looks like one of the best, I wonder what you can do with one of the better looking armour sets.

Awesome job as always - love the details :goodjob:
You achieved that quite robust and nice mid-priced looking armor not looking to precious compared to the high-end stuff (daedric/glass/ebony) that perfectly fits to this piece. Great!

Any chance to see this complete set equiped on an NCP?

I think, what Saint_Jiub was looking for was a shot of the giant daedric status that are placed within the daedric temples (so do i :hubbahubba: )

I cant find the coals hot but which exactly its the problem with coalpile00? Its a very simple mesh without any real detail. I think a new texture will do the work.

Thanks?? Im very proud of the Bonemold ones.

This is too sweet!

I marvel at you talent to make things look so much better, yet retaining the original feel.

Cheers Connary!

ahh connary you http://newhopemills.com/product_images/lrg/DSC_0346b_Certified%20Organic%20Pastry%20Flour.jpg! teasing us withhttp://www.manchestereventsguide.co.uk/img/full/pop/little-shop-of-horrors-feature.jpg :D - its ok we know you dont want to http://images.icanhascheezburger.com/completestore/2009/1/23/128772345004607386.jpg with your mod but come on I am going http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_q82E7IKO_Xo/Sm6H5dH89MI/AAAAAAAAABw/0j_lxKq-C84/s400/May8o3_Savage_ColdTurkey.jpg!

EDIT: hmm just saw your http://img834.imageshack.us/i/chaincomplete.jpg/. I have to say that while I like detail on the curiass those greaves http://www.sorensenmediagroup.com/bigshow/uploaded_images/eye_popper-02-757178.jpg! I feel like http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_UIXOn06Pz70/SGaJFpoeJXI/AAAAAAAADsA/uE-FJbHUa7o/s800/Strawberry+and+Rhubarb+Jam+500.jpg. If you could just http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tone abit and maybe change the chain part on the greaves to something that doesnt resemble http://petewarden.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/10/31/beetlejuice.png I think you might be on a http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_geCu7Kw1-OQ/TJKNNTnYq2I/AAAAAAAAAik/W3IaPMrF38c/s1600/winner.jpg. I could just keep using http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5882.

EDIT 2: Visual representation added just becausehttp://blog.collectables-now.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/bored-logo.jpg

p.s what were you expecting for the crack picture. Shame on you lot.

I agree as well, that armor is quite realistic looking.

I always like going through any textures I add to the game and was worried I may have to spend time doing that here(its not only to get the best looking textures, but to make sure the style fits the original MW), but the work I am seeing is so far above everything currently out that I guess I wouldnt bother to go through everything this time and just add it. Connary, this is quality work, I feel like we should be paying for it. hah

Cool, thanks! For furn_coals_hot, you can use the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=32 to unpack all the meshes/textures/icons in the bsa files for MW, TB and BM. Furn_coals_hot is in there under folder f. There are tons of objects in there you can retexture, like the ropes, the tables, the walls, the thatch ceilings, the fire places, all of which I don't think have been retextured before.

Yeah: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/3256/chaincomplete.jpg
On the Imperial Chain cuirasses, or any of the Imperial Cuirasses, are you also doing the female versions? Because they have a different mesh which accommodates for the briasts. You can see that it has a gem on it too. You'll probably have to use the BSA extractor because these aren't in the regular folders; they're in the BSA files. The mesh is a_imperialchain _c_female.nif

Ah, "furn_s_coals_hot" is a Bloodmoon mesh. Perhaps let him finish with Morrowind first? *chuckle* And interestingly enough the texture for "furn_coalpile00" is named tx_ashpile00, which makes sense since it looks far more like a pile of fine material than a pile of coarse material.

Hi people! Is there any chance of someone uploading the .bsa's somewhere else than 4shared? Because 4shared refuses the download now.. Maybe it has reached maximum downloads?
