Connection issues? POST HERE!

Post » Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:44 am

Hi everyone!

I created this topic to inform Cry-Tom and Cry-Adam and other Crytek admins on the multiplayer issues.
Yes, it's full of cheaters. Yes, sometimes the weapons make strange things.

But the real issue they aren't saying nothing about is:
CONNECTION ISSUES!!!

Yes guys, some users cannot still login ingame or, like me, play a match when possible because of a problem in YOUR servers.

Hey Crytek, do you know how many users have still this issue?
For who has this, this topic has been created to show them how many we are, so everyone has these issues, please post here, also one post is good.

Anyway, admins, what happens to us is:"An error has occurred, please check your network connectivity", and when I can login I cannot join no match because of, I think, a problem in your central servers or something like this.
PLEASE, CHECK THIS!

For who wants to try, it could depend on us:

1- Check if your network connectivity is right, then make a rule in your Firewall/Antivirus and open all the ports used by the game. A rule for Crysis2.exe and another for Crysis2Launcher.exe.
2- Check your Modem/Router and try to open the doors there too.

I'm trying point two and installing the game on another PC to see what's going on, stay tuned.

Yeah its a pain when i get some free time to play a few matches that i cannot even connect to a game for more than 30 seconds. I have no interference from my firewall and a strong connection.

THIS NEEDS FIXED!

"Chceck your connectivity" error since the first day. Is this going to be fixed anyway? Just wanted to know if is it sense to try, or is this just a waste of time.

Ok men, I promised I would have kept up to date, so here is what I did.

I took half an hour to install Crysis 2 on another PC, wich cannot support it. Then I ran the game and the login screen appeared. I decide to create a new account, but special:

Username- HackerRobs (I deleted the underscore)
Password- The same of my actual gamesas account (wich I created in the Beta Demo relased on Marh 1st)
Confirm Password- Done
Email Address- The same of my gamesas old account

I registered the account and I logged in. It worked. Then I thought:"Let's try with my old account". It said:"Uncorrect username or password", so I thought:"Great, I fuc*ed myself, because I lose all my Limited Edition bonuses".
I turned off that PC.

Then I returned on my gaming PC, I launched Crysis 2 and, in front off the login screen, I wrote as username "HackerRobs". It worked, but well, because I just ended playing something like 10 matches with a low ping. But not just this: it saved and reloaded all my unlocks, saved datas, multiplayer stats, filters and my customized class IN THE NEW ACCOUNT.

So, try to do this: create a new account, use:

Username: Your current, but changed a little bit
Password: The same
Confirm Password: The same again
Email Address: The email address of your gamesas account

Try if it runs doing this.

Sometimes the game works, other times I get the network connection error. Last night I was able to log in several times now this morning: ‘An error has occurred…’ I haven’t changed anything which leads me to think it’s a server problem and anything we are doing on the client side is a coincidence when it starts working.

This didn't happen before 1.2.0 patch was released, but now I can't stay in any game for no more than 4-5 minutes if I'm lucky. I've tried several PC's and it doesn't seem to change, my internet is Virgin Media 50mbps and my firewall has nothing to do with it, opened or closed.

Error: "Connection lost to Opponent. You have been logged out"

>.< This game has come to a terrible start.

I still can't even connect- this is bull. Thanks for wasting my money- anytime you come out with a new game, you won't be receiving anything from me...

I have no problems with the log in-process but I can't join any servers.
I'm getting always the information "Connection to host failed" while trying to join a match.
In Quick Match-Mode the game is searching for a session (Information "searching for sessions" appears in the top left corner), seems to find one (Information "attempting to join session") and starts with searching sessions again ("searching for sessions") after a few seconds.

I'm using a 30Mbit/s connection and my firewall is set up correct.

Like many, I'm getting the ' The Connection to the Session Has Been Lost' error and can't play for more than 2-5 minutes before getting dropped. Nothing I've tried including opening the recommended ports, turning off all firewalls and anti-virus, enabling DMZ, completely bypassing the router, and uninstalling/reinstalling the game has worked. I'm convinced that it's just a broken game and there is no solution for it on the client side and we're at the mercy of Crytek on this one. Hopefully there will be a patch this week. I bought this game exclusively for Multiplayer and so far have basically just flushed my $60 down the toilet unless they produce a fix.

Okay here is another thing that seems to fix the connection problem for me. Try stopping and disabling the Internet Connection Sharing service.

Hi @all ,

I've got two Installations of the Game in my Home Network. One at my computer running Win 7 64bit and the other on my son one with Win7 32 bit as OS on it. The Internetconnection for both is managed by a Fritz Box 7270 with all Ports open for the game.
Yesterday again I couldn't log in to the MP because of this "check your internet connection" issue. Even a restart, what sometimes helped, has failed and I can't log in MP.
Then my son tried the same at his computer (32bit) and could log in whithout a Problem. I couldn't believe it.
So we shut his PC down and turn back tn mine. Started Crysis again and ..."An error occurred! Please check your network" appears! It really pissed me off!
Could it be that there is 64bit incompatibility!

Win7 64 bit works for me if I turn off ICS.
