Connection to the Session Has Been Lost - Bandwidth Related?

Like many out there, I've been experiencing the dreaded 'The Connection to the Session Has Been Lost' error which makes playing the MP portion of this game virtually impossible. Most of the time I can't maintain a connection for longer than 2-5 minutes. There have been a few times that I could maintain one for 10-15 minutes.

I've tried forwarding all the recommended ports, turning firewalls and anti-virus programs off, enabling DMZ, trying three different routers, completely bypassing the router and plugging straight into the modem, and even unintalling/reinstalling the game. Nothing has worked!

The only thing I can think of is that the ping swing parameters are too tight in this game. I live in a rural area and am forced to use a line-of-sight wireless broadband service that terminates into ethernet at the antenna. I'm not using a wireless connection from my router. I get a 1.5MB download and to say the least it's not always stable. Often I can experience brief broadband swings of 100k-400k easily, sometimes more, in particular during high local traffic times on the company's network. Occassionally I would have this disconnect problem in Black Ops to where I wouldn't lose my broadband connection, but it would become unstable enough to where the game would drop me. This didn't happen a lot. I'm suspecting that Crytek has configured this game with too tight of ping swing parameters that will drop your connection if your bandwidth becomes at all unstable.

For those of you who experience the disconnect problems, what is your broadband service like? Are you using a wireless connection from your router? Are there multiple people in your household using your connection at the same time you're playing? I can't think of anything else that could be causing this problem. Can anyone else?

I have a 100mbit fiber optic cable and have the same problems! Only in Crysis all other games work! All port openings dont help! Crytek, it seems to be no matter

Wow! What I would give for a fiber connection *drool*. I wouldn't think that you would get much variance in your bandwidth that would cause the drops, unless you have other people utilizing your connection and taxing it with large downloads as you're trying to play? I'm surprised it happens with your connection type.

Unless I'm missing something, I've exhausted every possible solution and point my finger at the game. I'll be calling their customer service number on Monday to see what they plan to do about it.
