Co-op connectivity issues.

Post » Thu Mar 31, 2011 3:22 am

My friend and I are having problems connecting to each other. When we accept eachother's invite, it loads, then says it failed to connect. even when trying to find a random game online, it does the same.

Check port 7777, maybe it's blocked by a firewall.

I dont think is an issue with the port 7777. It seems more a connection glitch.

They release the game a few hrs ago and already you can find a a few topics and players having the same problem. I hope the company look at this issue not ignored like they did with oblivion IV.

i think this is Gamespy related. Reminds me of Borderlands, also Gamespy, also lots of connectivity problems. Why this super old system is still used today?

Having same problem with lamespy. A lot of people on the Steam forums for Hunted are too. It's like they didn't even test it. PCs were meant for gaming too!

So is Bethesda going to give us a formal update/response, or are they just going to ignore the problem that their customers are having?

They don't seem to take things serious like triple a developers. Even something like Vindictus (which is better than this game and co-op-able for all of it) gets stuff done asap and I hate Nexon. I don't get why these Bethesda people or inXile can't get multi working. No port forwarding. That's so amateur of them to say that and it doesn't even work because the problem is much deeper than that. Besides every other Gamespy game is working fine.

Same problem here. My friend and I both tried inviting, both said faild to connect. We'll try the port 7777 thing tonight however, we were still able to play together by having one of us click host game and the other click join game, rather than a private match, and we happened to be paired together. The game was fine after that, not one hiccup of lag.

the port thing is a myth. it won't work. people have been doing this since the game was released on every forum and youtube. It's not a problem with the port. The developers need to fix this and only they can.
