Except if those 3000 bad men are taking cover in a line of fully-loaded petrol tankers... Or they're REALLY amazing.

You know 300 is (loosely) based on a real historical battle, where 300 men held an army of millions (records suggest it was probably between 2 and 4 million) at a narrow pass for a week with no supplies, right?

Well realistically there are already more 360 players out there so it's not all too surprising.

This has essentially become an "I'm better then you" discussion. None of you will know till the game comes out so it doesn't really matter.... and even then, it's just a game.

lulwat? Where did you get those numbers from.. I'm pretty sure more people own PCs than consoles in total seeing as how the whole world uses computers.
And, if you guys look at polls from the SD forums, its mainly PC users, from what Wraith told me.

Also, you should have made it a boxed poll. If this game becomes as popular as I think it will, I will end up getting a 360 in the future.
My reasons are my own, *cough* hunting down Wraith and Devil as a security Op *cough cough*

Oh wait, now it isn't a secret anymore.
Edit: PC / Resistance

I thought it had degenerated into random bumping while hoping for the Security faction to get at least one full team of players on every platform.

Actually back on-topic though...

Interesting that the numbers are so much more balanced on every system but the PS3....

Owning a PC does not make a person a PC gamer. Case in point... myself lol. Though I suppose you could say PC has a larger player base if you factor in games such as FarmVille or Bejeweled. As for shooters, I do believe Xbox 360 is the largest group currently.

The SD forums were also previously used to discuss PC-exclusive games - the fact that there are more PC gamers there than console players isn't surprising in the slightest.

Actually it was closer to 7500 assorted Greeks in the beginning as the Spartans were NOT the only men to battle at the battle of Thermopylae and it was not even THE battle of Thermopylae as a secondary, much larger and more one sized naval battle was occuring at the same time between allied Greek and Persian forces at Artemisium so that the Persians couldn't just land behind the Greeks at the small passageway. In the actual battle Persians were alerted to the goat path that would lead them behind the but the 2000 other Greeks posted to guard this path, Phocians I believe, instantly fell back as the Persian encircling forces appeared because they feared the Persians would attack their home.

This prompted many Greek detachments to withdraw, with or without orders but we do know that to cover the retreat of easily 3000 men, the Spartans included in a force of 1500 other Greeks stood and on Kolonos Hill fell.

700 Thespians, 400 Thebans and 300 Spartans all died that day for liberty and freedom but we only remember the Spartans because Hollywood wanted it that way.

OMG, that's pretty much me. Even though I kind of grew up on the PC with Tomb Raider, a few RPG's and lots of adventure game stuff, I started migrating towards the Nintendo (GameboyGBC/GBA, Gamecube, Wii, DS) and Playstation systems (all three of them).
I now don't have a good PC to play games with, just a laptop to surf the net, lol.
I have to borrow a family member's computer if I wanted to play anything PC and (he hasn't updated it much since 4/5-6 years ago). And now I'm used to the Playstation
controllers and Nintendo systems, lol.

Many of my female relatives, friends, classmates use their computers only for email and, if they game, they play mostly Facebook games or Bejeweled stuff, lol
OR, if they have a console at all, then the Wii.

On topic: Oh, I will be mostly Security (I respect men in uniforms and I feel they are just doing their jobs, lol) and I'm on PS3. ^_^
I will try both factions, though, to expand the story and see the different endings and customization and stuff.

EDIT: I forgot to give the OP a girl :turtle: and a :bunny: , hee. Welcome to the forums!

Resistance on the 360 for me.

I will be playing both security and resistance regularly however, but i just felt i should vote resistance seeing as thats the one i kinda prefer. In the sense i feel they fit me more than security do, i'm not well known amongst my real life circles as a guy who respects authority....

Thanks for the comment about the avatar (except the part about being NOT scary) - I'm planning on using a larger version of the same shot to teach myself how to use Aperture (If I'm really lucky, I might produce a usable sig for my efforts)

Look forward to running into you sometime. Probably as a teammate, from the looks of things.

Didn't you have that strange, demented smiley face avatar? Or was that just me going crazy staying up too late...? Regardless, I too look forward to fighting alongside you. We and our [censored] NZ connections can get trampled side by side.

You may be Security(damn you) but you're still a brother to me :)
I hope you feel special because there are only a few people who are allowed to be my Security brothers.

I... am truly honored. :disguise: DW, I still anticipate to spend a lot of time on Resistance, I'm only SLIGHTLY more in favor of Security - I'm not there to wail on Resistance or refugees, just to keep people safe and protect them from the more aggressive of you lot. :nono: And I too am suspicious of the Founder's reluctance to resolve the problem...

Too many godless console heathens in here.

Seriously though. go https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDdWOGlGNG9VV1FrY0tRcTJhTmlEY2c6MQ instead of making more identical polls.

I believe the intention of the poll was to determine where each platform's community sides, to see if it's well balanced or if it varies...

Thats basically what I meant. There are, in general, more people altogether playing video games on the PC. As for shooters, I actually figured that was the case. Most of the shooters on PC with most users have dwindled in the amount of servers hosted.

The SD forums were also previously used to discuss PC-exclusive games - the fact that there are more PC gamers there than console players isn't surprising in the slightest.
Yeah, I actually mentioned it as a reference to the Polls being inaccurate to say the least.

Hit me up sometime if you do - it'll be fun hearing the swears as you adjust to gamepad. :P
Oh, I won't be using a Gamepad for the 360, I'll be using the controller. And I'm going to look all of you guys up if I get another 360. (sold my last one for PC stuff)

Well... yes.

But how is that more scary than a vampire lunatic in body armour leaping across the room aiming his SMG at your face?
