Console codes to add followers?

I've just returned to Fallout 3 after spending a few months with Skyrim and another few months with New Vegas - I just miss the feel of FO3. Something I've always wanted to do was to get a follower early on - I usually play good, and the two good followers are only available late in the Main Quest, while the only other follower who is unfussy about alignment is in the middle of an area which I don't usually visit early in the game. Is there any console command you can key in, like in Skyrim, which allows you to add a follower tag to a NPC and let them join you, or does FO3 not work like that? I know there are follower mods out there (including the one I used a lot last time, Lucy West) but I have my eye on that raider chick who attacks the bridge held by the BoS. In Skyrim, I'd just resurrect her via the console and add a couple of factions, set her to non-hostile, and we're good to go.

If I need to make a mod to get that done, are there any good templates I can use? In Skyrim it was incredibly easy to make a follower mod (I must have made at least a dozen) but I remember being totally lost when trying to do that with FO3 a year ago. Thanks for any advice!
