Console command to bring NPC to my location?

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 4:08 am

Am doing The Battle of Bruma and due to a superb bit of glitch, Captain Burd keeps ending up in the fire of the first tower you end up in. So as well as constant comments that 'Captain Burd is unconsious' I also can't shut the gate as it's saying to bring Burd to my location to show him how to shut the gate.

Sigh.

I know the command to bring me to another, but not to bring him to me? Any help?

Click on him and type "moveto player".

...Atleast that works in Fallout, not sure if it was different in Oblivion?

From here:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:NPCs#Console_IDs

to move a missing NPC to your location, use:

prid
moveto player

If the NPC is not visible after those commands, then the character may have been disabled, so type:

enable

Or if he's dead:

resurrect 1

To add;

prid 36264 moveto player

If it doesn't work, you could also setstage mq10 50, or CloseCurrentOblivionGate (with the later, Burd should respawn outside the gate).

One thing to note. If you find that from your character's point of view, you cannot select the NPC in the console, type "tfc" to enter free camera mode. Then move over to the NPC, go into console, then select him/her and type "moveto player". Type "tfc" as well and your back to your character with the NPC.
