Console command to make NPC a Follower?

Post » Fri Jun 25, 2010 8:17 pm

Going through the list of Console Commands from the Wiki (the ones extracted from the EXE), I'm seeing GetCurrentAIPackage, but not SetCurrentAIPackage. Is there a command to apply the Follower script of the Mage Apprentice/Murderer/KotN to any other character, say Legion Soldier or Dremora, etc?

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/AddScriptPackage, it requires the id of a package however.

The other killer is that the follow packages are likely to have conditions on them that prevent a random NPC from doing them - like GetIsId or GetStage.

Yeah, I see that going through the CS and UESP Wikis. I've tried a few different things in the game, but I'm not getting the results. I considered using the Command Humanoid script, but can't find it. I can see the Spell itself, but not the package it applies to the target. If that could be singled out and used wih the Set command, I'd be in bacon.

Ok, finally found what I was looking for.

AddScriptPackage 0009E69B

That's the Dark19OrderFastMage script, which sets the Murderer to follow you "and keep pace".

I tried it on one of my Clones (who would simply stand there) and she came right along. Tried it on a clone of my Murderer and she came along as well.

Tried it on a Bravil guard and he started to follow, but then went back to his post, so there's a limit to what can be done with it.

Tried it on a Storm Atronach in an Oblivion Gate and set his FactionRank and he started to follow, but he was attacked by my party immediately.
