Hi,
I was fiddling with the console commands the other day and I tried the hidden room one which is coc something. Anyway I must have typed something wrong to get out because now I can't move my character. The game is running I just can't look around or do anything the only button that does something is the tilde key to get into console command. Help much appreciated, thanks.

Try "enableplayercontrols" in the console, if it is a simple case of controls disabled then that will fix it. It could also be a script stopping you in which case that wont work but thats less likely if it was a test cell / hidden room. It could be other things but for now lets assume its the simplest.

Thanks for reply, just tried that and didn't work, so if its a script, which 1, I have tried verifying the integrity of the game cache and reinstalling skyrim numerous times

Script tend to be a pain to get rid of unless you know exactly which script it is so you have a few main options, if you wait a little bit sometimes the script will finish on their own and you will regain movement. You can also simply revert to a save from before you visited the location and this should cure any issues. If you installed any mods recently it could also be due to those in which case its worth seeing if the mod page has any mention of such an issue incase there is a quick fix, some mods will have an uninstall feature in an MCM menu which can fix these issues sometimes.

Easiest would be to either revert to an older save or wait and see if it fixes though, without knowing the specific script causing it there is nothing (to my knowledge) than can really be done though many people on this forum are far more experienced than me so wait for another reply if you wish.

It seems that when I start a new game its fine but when I save and quit and come back, I can't move.

Havent encountered that before personally, have you installed any mods recently that could be causing the issues?
