Console Command to Reverse a Perk

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:59 am

Hi All,

I activated the Perk that allows you to see all locations on the map (but still only fast travel to the ones you have visited) and now I wish I hadn't.

Is there a console command that will let me "reverse" this Perk and only show where I have visited on the map?

Thanks muchly,

Mark.

It might be player.removeperk instead of player.addperk. I have never tried this myself.

However, it may not erase the effects on the map from the game. Might be best to reload a save from before you took the Perk.

CCNA - I took the perk a long time ago now. Not too keen on having to replay it all. I thought I could live with in but it makes finding the places you have already been impossible. Will try that code though.

Thanks,
Mark.

Seeing a full map can be a pain when you are trying to find a location on it.

If this does not work, zooming into the map (use the scroll wheel on your mouse) can make it easier to see individual markers.

Didn't work :(
Only reference I found on the net was that same suggestion. Works for addperk but not removeperk

Ah well. Will have to get used to it.

You can remove the perk with this command --> player.removeperk 00031de5

The problem is that the actual effect remains as it is stored in your save game. Once the map markers are revealed it is permanent, you can't re-hide them again.

It should, the only reason the map marker thing doesn't work is that the markers are saved in the save game. Bloody Mess is a game effect that triggers on bodies when you have the perk, remove it and you should not see them explode anymore. Here's the code you need:

player.removeperk 00094eba
