Console DLC content ( Crytek please read )

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 7:08 pm

Now let me start off by saying im sorry if this makes any pc users upset. As a console gamer for the most part ( i do pc game a little bit , i dont have the money for a high end rig ) i would like to stress how awesome single player DLC would be to add to the amazing experience . PC gamers will have the mod community to download tons of free single player levels and mp maps but us console gamers are limited to the dev companies and this game is one of the few that looks to awesome to pass up single player DLC. Every FPS game has mp DLC but few have single player DLC. Anyways its just a thought and if its not possible due to story or something i understand but its just a thought.

At best, we'll get an expansion pack. MP DLC's are a hell of a lot more profitable than SP.

I don't like too much DLC's, because i have to pay the game and pay the "updates". If the DLC's come free, doesn't matter if will be for MP or SP. (Yeah, i spend all of my money with Crysis 2)

I like both sides, but MP a little more.

Why being exclusive? If they are planning to release DLC content, then release it for all platforms, CAPCOM screwed PC gamers when they didn't released the Resident Evil 5 & Street Fighter 4 DLC's etc, then EA/Visceral games is planning a console exclusive DLC for Dead Space 2. I really hope Crytek doesn't let us PC gammers down, I mean yeah we might have the modding tools and there are some cool mods out there, but it is not really the same.

I would love to see a DLC for the campaign, maybe vehicles or more new weapons and upgrade.

I agree with you fenixfrank , im just saying that the consoles need SOMETHING. The wonderful pc community will get tons of levels from the mod community.

$DLC: make people angry about Crytek, paying to play with others and to have more contents.
freeDLC: Give Crytek a "good image" people will feel happy and will love even more Crytek, the downside of it is that it don't give $ do Crytek.

Cash run the world.

If we're talking about games like Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and the like, then DLC makes sense, but not for a first-person shooter. If the single player campaign needs DLC, then something went terribly, terribly wrong in the design process.

uh?? why?

there are of a million ways to integrate SP DLC into a story driven SP like Crysis 2's. They can be very well stand alone...or even allow us to play as another character for the hell of it in a story parallel to Alcatraz' (like DS: Severed)
