Console fever

@ Cry -Tom

But speakin of heavy rain... for me its not game but rather an interactive movie.
Back in the days when the CD came out there were similiar games like that using only quicktime events.
Such as Dragons Lair and many SEGA CD titles.
But thats the problem for me with these games..okay the story maybe good, but its not much of a game that i experience. So interactive movies in 3d is the better discription.

And speakin of move controllers... damn its unprecise as hell and nowhere near a 3000 DPI mouse. And dont get me started for kinect... i already regret i have bought this piece of ****.

Yeah heavy rain is more of a movie i agree but when it's set to 'gamer mode' or whatever they call it, it's pretty intense with the actions. It seems to have a few bugs though, i encountered one this weekend which completely change the story because i was unable to perform any action... fairly annoying to say the least.

For control schemes it's going to be a while until someone makes a 'move' controller anywhere near as accurate as a gaming mouse, but there's a lot of instances where a control pad is more optimal, for example any sports or platform game, which i think make up a huge amount of sales on any console.

Heavy Rain really is a brilliant game regardless if you play it with a Dualshock 3 or Move. Probably the one game that has drawn me in the most.

CryTom, I hope you have also gave some of the other PS3 exclusives a go by now. They are all must plays :)

I played a kinect fighting game and it did not work that good.
When i punched the dude kicked and vice versa, not all the time but enough to make it feel unreal and working out a sweat when you visit friends is also not a good idea.

I only checked the move in the store and maybe i will buy one for a upcoming rts game for the ps3.

This maybe old news for some, check the video.

To bad they used games whit auto snap to show it and you can see it has some delay when he moves the gun around. Prety cool for a first version i must say.

Maybe we can use the couch as cover in the future. :)

I hate how people are saying on youtube that Crysis 2 has horrible graphics on the console! I know PC can really run things to the max but crysis 2 will still be the best looking game on console. COD has mediocre graphics. Halo as of now has the best graphics on console. Crytek should be proud of their game on all platforms.

Anyone else caught it?

I still consider myself a PC gamer but since buying a PS3 recently I'm finding it harder to spend my time on the PC gaming rather than the PS3. I'm not going to argue PC vs console here, and I still hop back to the PC for some exclusive titles such as Starcraft II, but for the first time in as long as I can remember i'm happy to come home and fire up the console rather than jumping on the PC, opening up MSN/Steam/Whatever and playing through there.

Anyone else share a similar experience? I can't ever imagine getting fully converted to a console gamer but I've started down the path, we'll see where it ends!

Hey Cry-Tom. I think you guys are doing excellent on all platforms. People keep saying the graphics svck but how? to me they look great. as for the story i also think is awsome!

It's simple appreciation for Crysis 2, and you suddenly want to start another war between Consoles and Pcs. Oh great....

Well.

As its easy for me to access the internet and all its delights at anytime my PC is on, and the K/B is more comfy for me with the precision of the mouse, then I will stick with the PC,

But now and again I will have a go on my lads Eggbox, and I think I have almost converted him to PC, though not by intention, its just that he can play a rerun of Crysis and Warhead when he gets around here lol,

Again , its a preference thing not a contest in MHO.

Probably wont, you should get a stand or something for that or you might rip out your entire wall. XD

Its quality that counts and not size.
My 22 Inch Flatscreen PC Screen beats every Tv available when it comes to color and picture quality.

To be fair i think bigboulder/iou260 is right, i've got way more immersed into video games on old 19" monitors than i ever did in a cinema.

My 25.5" 1920x1200 monitor is so lovely it makes me wanna cry everytime I play Crysis at max graphics. :)

Something a console game will never make me wanna do, being 720p upscaled crapola.

Halo? Halo has terrible graphics. I'm thinking more of Fallout. Yeah, Fallout has mediocre graphics. But when you consider how big that world is, it's amazing that they can make it in that kind of resolution. Just Cause 2 isn't really too big, but Fallout, phew, it's gigantic.

On PC players interrupting the console wars: the only thing you have going for you is graphics. Don't think about saying that it has better anything--that is totally in opinion. My opinion? PC is only as good as consoles, seeing as price and lasting life (how long the tech is new) is going totally against it.

I am buying Crysis 2 for the 360. I know PC runs things better but I know that Crysis 2 wont look horrible on 360. As a matter of fact I think it looks great. I have nothing against PCs but they are just to hard and expensive to keep upgrading. Please dont get angry just because i play on consoles.
