Console fever

Post » Thu May 28, 2009 9:54 pm

Anyone else caught it?

I still consider myself a PC gamer but since buying a PS3 recently I'm finding it harder to spend my time on the PC gaming rather than the PS3. I'm not going to argue PC vs console here, and I still hop back to the PC for some exclusive titles such as Starcraft II, but for the first time in as long as I can remember i'm happy to come home and fire up the console rather than jumping on the PC, opening up MSN/Steam/Whatever and playing through there.

Anyone else share a similar experience? I can't ever imagine getting fully converted to a console gamer but I've started down the path, we'll see where it ends!

Since the truth is that if xD. Overcoat if I have bought a new game does a little time

The computer is good to speak for MSN or to look at the Facebook, enclosedly some games well, as for example the StarCraft II that alone one can play in PC.

I believe that the games of strategy are played much better in a PC, since the games of you fight they are played better in consoles.

But at the moment of playing to games I prefer playing in my 360.

Besides the fact that the consoles often offer a way coop in some games that this enough good.

It would be a last resort for me, but consoles aren't bad.

Pc gamers will remain the same and hold. :)

The true test for me will come with Dragon Age II I think, I enjoy a lot of RPG games but always found PC more immersive than consoles. But i'll be getting this title on PS3 so it'll be interesting to see if it can destroy my social life the way PC games can :)

Hm, Dragon Age origins was REALLY bad for the consoles, the fps often dropped to 10 and u cant pause it and do tactical stuff.

It will be interrested whit the move, just like rts games wil finaly find a place on consoles.

After getting my first ps3 when it released i only bought the console version of the A titles and use my pc/laptop for personel stuff and casual games. When its time to buy a new pc i will play some A titles again.
I play 75% fps and the consoles just nailed the online gameplay for me.

I got the console fever :)

Yeah, I got the fever. I'm loving how everyone has equal rigs when playing FPS online, and only see rare hacks using net tools and such. I think it was UT3 that converted me.

I am beginning to get the pc fever again. Things like the Cryengine 3 map editor, and Diablo 3 has me thinking...upgrade.

I have a PS3 and it has a dedicated job of dust collector, except for the exclusives like Uncharted 2. ;)

I am solely a PC gamer. I love the quick ability to alt-tab multitask, sit in a private VoIP with admin powers, have a dedicated server where my ping isnt 450, and a much more mature community.

My only downside with the PC is that it costs much more money for upkeep. :(

The day PC gaming dies is the day my gaming experience dies. Luckily consoles still need PC whether they like it or not. :P

I've noticed something strange lately... It's as if many gamers are in search for another experience. PC gamers want to experience consoles while console gamers want to experience PC's.

I've been an avid Playstation gamer ever since PS1, and I've also recently invested in a PC (Crysis was one of the reasons for that lol). While I'm having a great time experiencing some PC gaming, console gaming will always remain my favourate as I just love the feel of a PS controller while sitting or laying on a comfy bed or couch.

But it certainly is great being able to experience the best of both worlds :)

I will be honest though... I'm not remotely interested in experiencing any motion controlled games (Move/Kinect/Wii). Button pressing on a controller / keyboard & mouse FTW!! :)

I wasn't either until i got Heavy Rain move edition, that's one of the most immersive games i've ever played and it's purely because of the move controls in this instance.
