Console Mod Question?

Post » Fri Mar 11, 2016 9:23 am

I'm hearing talk about console mods quite a lot. My question is when console mods come will I have to create it on PC then transfer it to the Xbox One by the official way when it's released, or will I be able to create the mod and upload it directly from my Xbox One?

You will have to own the pc version of fallout 4. Create the mod on the pc, upload it to beth.net.

What sort of approval process beth will have is unknown.

You'll need to make it on PC, and you'll need a PC copy of the game. The modding tools aren't like an in-game editor, it's complex software the developers use to make the game themselves. Not compatible with either console.

If you've got no experience with it, I think most will be looking at requesting/paying a mod author to do something specific if they want it. Chances are if you're playing on console, you won't be buying the PC version and making mods on your PC to then bring over to your xbox, because otherwise you'd just play on PC already.

Thing is I don't have the specs to even run Fallout 4 on PC hence why I play on Xbox One, but I have played and modded Skyrim on PC. However I do want to create a mod that puts a HUGE amount of every crafting resource into a footlocker, so I can build without having to run out of resources. I really would love someone to do this if I can't, as the settlement building system is really hard and kind of a let down, because Items you deconstruct even junk just don't give you enough. I have explored almost every location in Fallout 4 and my Sanctuary Hills & Red Rocket settlement isn't even close to finished, although I am making them to be rather big.
