im wondering how they would feel if their precious xbox gets game that only use dx7 and dx9 would be patched in like 1-2 months.. how would they feel spending 60$/€ on a game in that shape

some guy i know got crysis 2 and was like "wow this is an amazing looking game" and stuff, and im like " hell no this game is **** " and he is like flaming at me "just because u've got expensive hardware doesnt make it justified that you get better games than us console gamers".

We have better hardware we should have better looking games. Dev's try to fudge the issue with BS but it's pretty simple and PC games are also cheaper to make.

What I suggest we do as customers (those of us with DX11 at least) is discriminate ruthlessly against games which don't support DX11 or just look like console ports and then all jump on games like Shogun 2. That will send developers a very clear message. But if there is no DX11 on release (like with Shogun 2) maybe next time everybody should wait and then buy the game the day the patch comes out because we need to make this VERY clear.

Yeah until DICE cut back the PC version because of it. I can't believe these nasty little idiots who complain about us getting something extra. We aren't getting extra from devs we are getting less. Because if devs put the same effort into PC games as console games they would look many times better. As a result of our hardware that we paid for.

why cut back because of the consoles? they said that they will first make the game on the pc and cut it back FOR the consoles.. and that means that will get stuff like Massive Destruction, Tesselation, Parallax Occlusion Mappings, fully dynamic shadows on every object, More Draw Calls than the gtx580 can handle, the best Antianolysing we've seen yet and As They said " Alot more Textures than a 1GB Vram can handle :):):) ". and all of these features will either get removed ( like tesselation ) and/or reduced to an ammount that the consoles are able to handle it :p.. Dice has never really let the pc comunity down. BC wasnt really great but it was still alot better on the pc than on the consoles

yes but the game developers for PC should take it into account that MOST of the PC crowd is more "hardcoe" than the console community, especially when we're talking about Crysis crowd which has on average a higher end machine compared to other communites such as COD let's say

this is what bothers me.. most of the developers dont care about pc gaming anymore. its not because of the pirates which any sane person would know that its just a little loss (since most of the pirates arent gonna pay for every single game they see.) but because the fact that there are alot of people with 360/ps3.. every little kid/teenager has a console nowadays while only people with an above avarage IQ are able to build a good gaming pc. ( or upgrade w/e )..

the facts are just clear 28mil copies of the 360 have been sold. 23mil ps3's and im just guessing here but i guess there arent even 10mil people who own a decent gaming pc.. and xbox games have higher prices.. are and dont need dedicated servers and stuff like that.. so in their eyes they will have like 2-3 times more profit while focus on console games and they'll eventually port it to pc for a bit more profit.

problem of the gaming industry is that money is more important than your customers being happy..
( ofc not every developer/publisher is like that. ie bethesda, gearbox, valve, dice, creative assembly and some others )

No one MAKES you buy hardwareNo one make us buy the game, too. But someone do this and expect that the game does what they told us it will do.

So if they told us that the game had awesome graphics, that Crysis 1 graphics will be nothing compared with them, that pc graphics will be in another level, that we will have Dx11, etc... We expect this to be true.

We does not improve hardware only to improve hardware. We improve hardware to use software. So if we decide to change our graphic card or computer cause some game or something we desire... it is understable that we became dissapointed when we discover that most of the things they said... are lies.

Please enlighten me, good sir. What those your above quote means. im 18 years old, i've played games like duke nukem 3D, Doom 1 & 2, starcraft, warcraft, tomb rider, Quake, unreal tournoments, Deus ex, etc. and i have witnessed the evolution of gameplay and graphics as a 4 yeard old kid, teenager and now as an advlt..

From the very first pc games to around 2005-2006 the graphics and gameplay improvements were rather a revolution. since the arrive of the xbox 360, the gaming evolution has been slowed down to the pace of a walking turtle. And except for some pc exclusive and some developers like Dice, the pc comunity has been given **** console ports with minor graphical improvements and copy pasta gameplay. Conclusion : the people that ask for dx11 arent just saying that games should have dx11 just for the sake of dx11; But they are rather disappointed that the current gaming industry barely cares about improvement and uniqueness and instead focusses on the marketing and the best ways to reduce production costs and increase their paychecks. And the way i see it, every pc gamer has the right to complain about games like crysis 2 that are being dumbed down because of the consoles and profits.

And until Crytek annouces an official statement that says
"We are sorry that we false advertised this game for being superiour on the pc compared to the consoles and that it will include dx11. So in the upcoming patch ( With a release date ) we'll Support Anti-Cheating Software, Real Dedicated Servers, Fixing Bugs, Improving Gameplay, Adding PC only features ( Prone, Lean, etc. ), Proper implemented DX11 with all the features it allows us, Decent full HD textures and proper hardware support", every single complaint, rant, whine and whatsoever is Completely Justified and Rightous.

I fail to understand how expressing our anger at the blatant lies put forth about this game is whining. We were told it would be better than the original, was going to be a PC game first and would have DX 11. I am not just talking about DX 11. I am talking about this game being an obvious port over to PC using the xbox as the model.
The controls, the game play, the graphics ,( the press start to continue) etc all show they did NOT build this game as a PC first product as they claimed but used consoles (the Xbox360 for the most part) as the model. Most pc players are tired of getting left over’s in games because of low-end hardware consoles.
