Bigger doesn't always mean better.

I agree with you, but do you not find it annoying that your console is proven to be hopelessly out of date. Think of the gaming experiences you could be having if MS had kept up to date. And please don't tell me you can afford Kinnect and a 66 inch TV but not a new X-box.

Well I am PC gamer.I dont own any consoles but,I kinda love the PS3 more than X360.The dude who created this thread,doesnt know that Sony are working on PS4.Hell they are releasing the PSP2(NGP) and not to mention the new Xperia X10. NGP can beat Apple's milked away iphone and ipad any given day.The only thing remaining is to change from Apple to iApple and using iNapkin the tears from their eyes.Oh yeah by the way iHate Apple.

I like my PS3 over PC anytime.. I used to have PC but was always trouble with it.
And consoles use the hardware much more efficent than Pc.
If we had a PS3 and a Pc with the exact same hardware, the console would be superior.
Anyway i think Crysis looks great on all systems. If i really wanted a Pc i would just have bought one, but i like my Ps3 and Xbox better. No blue screen, no troubleshooting every day etc.
But yeah, ofcourse PC will look better, but i think it looks great on console too

Istead of realising a new console very year, it is better to learn more effecient ways to use what they got.
They dont do this with PC. They just make a unefficient game and expect people to buy a new PC

Unfortunately you're not taking into account many factors including battery life, screen size, advanced graphical abilities, OS, RAM etc. The smallest high quality gaming laptop is still 13" & requires a constant source of power, not to mention cooling.

No, the PS3 & 360 are still going to be strong for a lot longer.

the figure of 250 million polys for Sony is without any shading or texturing so the 450 million poly's for apple couldn't possibly be any more basic. Also nobody has ever out **** Sony regarding polygon counts in the past and I don't expect they ever will.

Nobodies saying every year but a decade is a freaking joke theoretically that would make PS4 over 32 times more powerful than PS3 with nothing in between. The only reason for this is that Sony and MS have a monopoly thats why they are now ignoring console and concentrating on the mobile space.

Something will blindside them I promise you regardless if it's some new DRM for PC or an apple home console. They need to release new consoles so the companies still seem relevant when cloud gaming actually becomes possible.

Man,you actually believe what they say.Do you think they are going to sit idly and milk the PS3 dry.They will be working on R&D.They said the same thing about the PS2,and we got the PS3.You will be seeing the PS4 on 2015 or 2016.And I am going to promise you by then Iphone and Ipad would have become a relic.Apple would have milked it dry to the bone,and morover NGP kicks Apple's Iproducts any given day.The main reason Apple even exists today is because of Steve Jobs.If he quits,or kicks the bucket early,the company's stock is going to fall to the pits of hell.

They already did. If Sony announces PS4 tommorrow it still doesn't change that. Would like to think we will see a PS4 in 2011 but if it were we'd know. Earliest possible date IMO is Christmas 2012 and that would mean Sony is blatantly lying (why bother when non-disclosure does the job just aswell anyway). No it's more like 2013, which is IMO failing hard!

And I'd say the other possibility Sony is getting out of the console market completely and going mobile.

Well consoles get more games, case closed. case re-opened, your using the plural? - two different systems, some games are propitiatory and other titles go to the PC platform also, if i were you i would open yourself up to the world of possibilities on a PC (if you like games played at their very best), first console i bought was an Atari2600, PC's kinda took me over back in 86 and I've been with them ever since, i skipped the whole "sonic/mario" fad, when the PSX came out i was svckered for one of those, but console games are more expensive new and I'd rather play a title with all the bells & whistles on a super fast PC for a little less price wise, some gaming companies are milking the universally feckless and gullible (the young ones)

Well my only problem with pc gaming is that too many good games are unavailable on pc and most of the games nowadays are developed on consoles. Yet pc gaming is not dead as long as we have games like Starcraft II and crysis and that's why i got an alienware M11X.

LOLZ my brother gave me his PS3 after he finished playing GOW3 on it. But he told me left GOW3 in his flat so I just played some other games for 5 mins and got bored. Gave up on GOW3 it seems like it's been just sitting here for years now. He'll probably just keep forgetting think he might of actually left it at his girlfreinds parents house in Ireland.

I'm sorry but anything created by Apple svcks, and can't play games for ****. If a quad core apple computer svcks for gaming, then an Ipad will be worse.

That really depends on your personnal taste. GOW3 is a very linear game with little replay value.But for me replayability is really not that important because video games are like interacitve movies in my eyes. What i seek in video games are outstanding characters (Kratos!), good musics, nice art design and strong stories.That's exactly what GOW3 has to offer, at least in my opinion.I think Crysis 2 has potentials to become one of those games.

That's not completly true, actually Crytek make use of pc hardware but pehaps not to a specific graphicscard as you may have meant. Nvidia I think are involved in optimizing Crysis 2 for Nvidia graphic cards.

The bigger of a screen you are playing on the more you notice the terrible resolution limitations of the consoles. 720p on a 66 inch screen = lol.
