Vvardenfell would be awesome to remake. Oblivion's landmass is not really worth remaking IMO.

I'm hoping you guys are aware that Vvardenfell after the Red Year is drastically different than the one we saw in Morrowind... if you were to make Vvardenfell in Skyrim you likely wouldn't even need to use the game Morrowind as a reference. You'd basically be making a brand new area. Now admittedly I like the idea of a team giving us a lore-accurate look at what Vvardenfell is like in 4E 200, but to be honest I'd rather such a team focus their efforts on bringing to life an area we've never ever been to before.

I have to say though, I don't like how nearly every modder who wants to make a project like this wants to make it as big as possible. There's a reason Bethesda's games are so fun to explore, and it's not because they give us eleventy-bajillion square miles of terrain to run around in. Having a big map means nothing if you don't fill it with a bunch of interesting locations. I would honestly be 100x more excited to download a mod that lore-accurately fleshed out a single square mile of terrain from any given province, than I would be to download one that's basically the heightmap of an entire province with a few small dungeons scattered about.
