I have no Consul Command! it's just gone.

I had it once, I was in there to turn of collisions whilst building up a settlement, you know, for that smooth looking wall effect and such. I got to a point where i could not exit from the consul, I couldn't do anything so I had no option but to close the game down through the task manager.

Now when I try to open up the consul (tilde) nothing happens, nada, zip, zero. It's almost as if, somehow, the consul command has been disabled or deleted. Has anyone had the same experience or does anyone have any ideas on how I might get it back? my settlements are such a mess, gah...

did you try to restart your pc? I have had a couple things happen that I had to restart to clear out. Not your particulair issue but something to try if you havent

Well, I have verified the files, uninstalled the few mods i had running, cleared all the save games out and started a fresh game and still no joy, still no consul

Have you installed a mod that remaps keys (such as F4SE)? It is possible the tilde is no longer the key it is mapped to. On UK keyboards, for example, it is the apostrophe between ; and #.

Just fired it up, tried your suggestion and voila! there it is. I only had 3 mods installed, 1 radio and 2 settlement (both small) so nope, no remapping. The command was there to begin with on the tilde but has obviously swapped to the @ key and I have no idea why as I have not changed KB settings or anything.
