Consumed an ungodly amount of skooma.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:36 am

So I consumed 16 bottles of skooma all at once. It was cool, I could run really fast and carry loads of stuff.

But after the effects of the drug had subsided, I no longer had any magicka. It's because my intelligence is at 0. And with no previous save to revert to, I am stuck.

Pray at an altar in one of the churches or make/buy a bunch of restore intelligence potions.

Sorry, it's kinda funny that you would go do something extreme, with no save. You need to get restore Intelligence potions. Either make your own, or purchase at alchemy shops. There is an alchemy shop in every town, (2 in the Imperial City) as well as an alchemical counter in every mages' guild hall. Save more often. I have about ten hard saves, not including the autosave. I save before I go into a hole in the ground, do something important, start a new quest, go on a wild killing spree, etc. Make a new save, delete the oldest. It only takes about 15 seconds to make a new save... IIRC, each potion should cost about 250 gold, making your own will be cheaper.

Edit: ninja'd.

I have almost a bajillion saves that I haven't deleted yet. I didn't expect the goooood stuff to have that much effect on me.

If you think drinking that much skooma is fun, try eating a chokeberry (found in the vile lair dlc). I did that once foolishly thinking it would be like other damage health ingredients I'd eaten, and for some reason hadn't saved for a couple hours prior to it. Anyways, I literally ran around all of cyrodil, since you can't fast travel when taking damage. all while casting heal spells, drinking restore health potions, and restore magika potions to keep me alive as i tried to make it to an altar.

best part? the altar didn't work on a chokeberry. and once my potions ran out i still died. I had a crap ton of potions so going through them was a feat.

i once ate one of those poisoned apples by accident (i was trying to drop it). The poison effect has a time bar that lasted like 15 mins real time. all the while i just kept casting a powerful heal spell and topping up my magika with restore magika potions. when the apple's time bar expired, imagine my horror to find the effect still operational!!! Only real choice was to start over (dead is dead to me). I reckon that was unfair - when the time bar expires the effect should cease like all other timebased effects do.........

You would think that that much speed would make some serious lag.

Man, I have to try this. I didn't know Skooma effects stacked, so I only ever used one at a time. Prepare for carnage!

Mods. I know there's one in Morrowind, though it serves no purpose at all. Just keep off the skooma for 2 weeks and you're good.
