Container fix mod

Greetings,

In digging around some today, I came across this little gem by Khettienna: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29295. Now, I realize this could be exploited, as noted in the readme. But short of that, this solves a number of problems that have been bugging me for some time now. For one thing, being able to quickly restore equipment to 100 health is huge (instead of 125, which is known to accelerate the container problem).

What I want to know is this, though: Anyone know if this thing can do anything weird like lead to corrupted saves? I have no reason to think so, but I don't understand a lot, so not having a reason to think so is not really definitive. <_< I just noticed that, for something that seems so useful, it really seems un-noticed (only 97 downloads in 6 months?), or heavily avoided. But I am guessing the former...

Also, Khettienna, if you're still around, I don't know how I missed your mods. A quick look at Nexus shows some really cool stuff (automagic bags? are you kidding? that looks awesome!) Anyway, if you are still around and see this, please don't take offense at the inquiry... after running into corrupted saves a while back I've been neurotic about trying to avoid them!

Thanks in advance for any input I can get,
veg

Yes, it can mess up your game. More specifically, it can mess up quests that depend on scripts placed on items. Any variables on the item scripts will be reset to 0. The mod makes mention of this issue in regards to Nirnroots, but it'll affect any scripted item.

Thanks War... I had a feeling (well, more like a hunch really, hence the post), but it's nice to have suspicions confirmed.

Oh, hi there. XD

Yes, Waruddar is right. That's why I have all those disclaimers up there. The spell basically replaces the objects in the container with new, never-been-touched objects. So for general random stuff, it's great - but I myself don't use it on anything quest-related, anything scripted, anything where ownership of the item matters, soulstones, etc... because with such items, that extra data can be crucial to gameplay. On a good note, I've been using it regularly the entire time on things like generic armor and weapons that are getting put away in storage, and I've had no trouble with it -- and my containers aren't missing any items. :D
